Chabot and White should play all year. Duchene with the team all year. Stone will likely not be injured all year. Hoffman had a meh kind of year. Karlsson is a ?? and a new young guy may make the team.

It is fun to laugh at them, but they really are not as bad as they played this season.
Next season is OK. It is the season after when they have lost Duchene and Karlsson and they have no #1 pick in the draft next year.

The underlying stats all pointed to exactly the collapse we saw coming. This is why I was saying they were going to be a bottom-10 team this season. I wasn’t pulling a spasdopps when they were pretending famed Ottawa Senator Patrik Laine was better than Matthews. It was a serious belief based on the evidence at hand, that they would be absolutely horsepoop.

Think Duchene matches his late season production next season? Maybe, but we saw this story before with the Leafs. Remember when Kulemin was a 30goal scorer?

Oh that's right! They gave him up with a top-5 pick for a marginal improvement at C, who doesn't seem to enamored with the club, and may also walk if not traded, just like Karlsson.
