How can you say "There are no public reports on how negotiations have moved" and in the next breath say "But the noise around them suggest that Melnyk does not have the financial capacity to deliver on the development"?


The NCC is reported to be giving an "Update" on Lebreton Flats within the next few weeks, concerning the clean up of the soil at Lebreton FLats, and who and how the clean will be paid by.

the mere fact that Melnyk is saying that a move to LeBretton may not happen tells you aomething about the stall. More important, Bettman says two things Saturday night.

1 The Sens are not moving.

2. Buyers for the Sens have approached the league office but they are not for sale until Melnyk says they are for sale.

Those are not conflictingmstatements. There is an impasse. I am feeling better about the Sens situation than I have formseveral years.

I think everything in the story is correct. But the story does not take into account the simple fact that Melnyk does not have the financial capacity or experience to undertake this kind of commercial project. Who is going to lend him the money?

When the Sens relocate to Quebec City will their dozens of fans switch to cheering for the:

A - Leafs (and pretend they were fans the whole time)
B - Habs (and pretend they were fans the whole time)
C - Nordiques (and claim loyalty even though they didn't properly support the Sens)
D - Redblacks (and pout that they don't even like hockey anyway)

It really shows that the leaf trolls are completely rattled by the upgrade the Senators have made with the three way trade ............ they can't stop talking/trashing the Senators ...... and practically never talk about the leafs, or any other teams in the Atlantic division.

So keep it up, it just confirms you're still not sure the leafs will be up to task this season, to get past the Sens.
