Price stones them. Habs win by 4 goals.

that's what I'm feeling.

sens don't win many games and are on a downward spiral.

habs are trending upwards. with price back to being price, they'll be above .500 soon enough.

you can't think that way.

You have to think the other way... Price has looked great for 2 games but the team in front of them is still not so great, but they probably think they are.

They might just figure the Sens are an easy mark the way they are playing right now and you guys have a chance to catch them napping.

what i think he is saying is that games in hand dont exactly translate to points in the standings. at the end of the day its how many you have not how many you have a chance at getting.

Ottawa does not lose as many games in regulation, as Montreal does.

In fact Montreal has lost 50% more games in regulation than Ottawa has .................they'll be below .500 for quite a while.

what I'm saying is that games in hand dont exactly translate to losses in the standings.

why would anyone assume the number of games in hand ( 3 in this case, between Ottawa and Montreal) automatically translates into zero points?

anderson is old and overworked. condon is showing his true colors.

price will have the habs above .500 soon enough.

how'd those winning percentages look 2 weeks ago? are they really the best gauge of future performance, ~20 games in?

my point was that you cant assume anything. until the standings change, go with whats a certainty, which are the current standings. i mean...lets face it..sens havent won in what 6 or 7 games? anything can happen.

The NHL stopped using Winning percentage years ago ....... when they brought in the "loser" point.

Well you are assuming that Ottawa will NOT get any points, in the three games in hand they have with the Habs.

If anything is an indication of future play, it's the past ............ no it's not any where a 100% guarantee.......... but if a team is currently playing at or around a .500 P% to date, it would be a huge stretch to assume they'll get a few points, out of those three games in hand .............. again, no guarantee ......... but neither is your assumption that they'll get zero points either.

Right after that post you made about planning the parade and just before the one you made about the 28th overall pick being the most important part of every team.

so right i didnt say they would get no points. i simply said having games in hand isnt a guarantee for wins or fancy sens losses with their loser points.

idiot.

Florida tied with the sens in the pretend standings. Good thing for the sens that buffalo is terrible...

...but the sens are 4 points clear in the actual standings.
