Another loser point for the Sens? How many do they need? Has Boucher lost the room with his dull tactics?
I know the Yotes are in the upper echelon of teams, but still, Sens can't win a game of hockey 5v5 |

At this rate scatso and d'oops will never be back. Clearly scoreboard and standings matter, and (when necessary) point %, the reality of the better situation sets in.
Sens have only Ceci who is a regular at under 23. And don't pick till the 4th round this draft. Sad state of affairs that hot mess of a hockey team is. Clear out more seats...
Duchene still a big fat 0. Just like the sens center ice says.
Losers pile up the losses. - systemtool
I've caught a couple of Preds games recently. Turris is looking really good. Great 200 foot player, really driving that line. They're lucky to have a guy like that |

The Sens are just lucky he only cost them Turris,a 1st round pick,a 3rd round pick, and a Sens prospect (who I assume is one of the best players outside the NHL) |

if he was a leaf he would be tied with geezer Hainsey in points. we could probably get a 3rd round pick for him. |

It really shows that the leaf trolls are completely rattled by the upgrade the Senators have made with the three way trade ............ they can't stop talking/trashing the Senators ...... and practically never talk about the leafs, or any other teams in the Atlantic division.
So keep it up, it just confirms you're still not sure the leafs will be up to task this season, to get past the Sens.
loving it. - D0PPELGANGER

leafs have a horrible mess trying to pretend they are playing defense. It is going to get a lot tougher the deeper we go into the season. - spatso
it is? lwafs are better defensively than the sens. funny how that works... |

Now that the Leafs areback playing Leaf hockey I find it kind of sad. It is good for hockey and team rivalies to have all teams playing well. Hope Leafs pull out of the tail spin and get some help on D. - spatso

Let's see what the numbers look like when Turris no longer plays with Karlsson. Let's see what happens when Karlsson starts feeding Duchene.
You either trust your management and coaching or you don't. Boucher wants Duchene, he has wanted him badly since the beginning of last season. Is he a good fit into the Ottawa system and Karlsson...we will find out soon enough.
Ottawa never made Turris a priority. They never really pushed for a long term deal. I am a huge Turris fan but it appears that Ottawa coaching and management does not share my opinion.
Everybody just needs to be patient. We will know after 5 games how well it is working.
Ottawa is pretty strong down the middle with Duchene, Brassard, Pageau and Thompson. We know that Boucher especially like Pageau and Thompson.
Great time to be a hockey fan. - spatso
turris 3 points
duchene 0
lets just see....
almost 5 games...great time to be a hockey fan. Leafs are strong down the middle. sens remain weak. |

You are right. It is a great solution for the Sens long term.
Keep it simple lots of fans including Leafs and Canadiens supporters are just a little jealous this morning. - spatso

The leafs, have slipped down to have the 22nd best record in the NHL.
The Montréal Canadiens currently sit with the 27th best record in the NHL. - D0PPELGANGER

Leaf fans are not really comfortable talking scoreboard or standings. In 10 years nothing has changed very much. They are desperately in need of a serious veteran presence on their blue line. It appears to me that their problems are only getting worse. - spatso

So, no comments on the leafs losing their fifth game in regulation, and slipping to 7th in the Conference???

Yeah, when he tends to go down well before the shot is taken, from the point, aiming high is a high percentage shot.
So I guess you did not watch last nights game, in San Jose ......... too late to stay up I guess.
Would be nice to hear a leaf fan talk about their team, once in a while ............... I guess they're just more concerned with how well the Sens are doing in comparison. - D0PPELGANGER

Is this a reference to the notion that the Sens are an accident that nobody really wanted? Makes sense considering they can't draw fans even while fluking their way into the ECF.
It's becoming quite apparent that nobody wants anything to do with them. Even Cherry said last week on national television that they're pretty much as good as gone. I guess the Nordiques will probably just stay in the Atlantic so at least there won't have to be a reorganization of the divisions. |
