Even Montreal, who are actively trying to not have any players under 24, have more impact players under the age of 24 than the Sens.

Leafs are ahead in

Standings
Points%
ROW
Goal differential
Have played few home games than Ottawa
Have a MUCH better record against common opponents
Matthews has missed pretty much the exact same time Karlsson did
Leafs farm team is well ahead of Ottawa's
Ander2en, 28 has a better GAA than Ander5on, 36

Oh and, Turris has more points, on a team that scores less, than Duchene does.

Karlsson is a minus player, again.

Some of these things may change Saturday and I am sure Spazz and D'oops will be have lots to say then.

"In one breath, Belleville Senators coach Kurt Kleinendorst labels Thomas Chabot as “a Michelangelo” for his offensive artistry.

A minute or so later, Kleinendorst describes the Ottawa Senators’ 20-year-old defence prospect as a “left-shot Erik Karlsson” because of his ability to create plays that few others can."

Guys they lost one game to the Stanley Cup champions. It was an outstanding game, played really well by both teams. Duchene played really well. Had five shots in the first period. Crosby had a really strong game.

Well at least you showed up, even if it was to post something as utterly meaningless as that opinion of Chabot.

It was actually a really good game. Pittsburgh get outstanding goal tending. Duchene was far and away Ottawa's best player. Nasty injury to Wideman. Unfortunate because I think they were showcasing him with the intention of moving him. Several of the guys, especially Harpur are ready for full time NHL duty.

Tough today. Huge sun day, plus 80F. Sens game starts at 2:00 WIFI does not reach beach. So, going out on beach early (9:30) and will come back in to watch game. Found a nice beach side Italian restaurant where we can go for an early supper. Will be able to get back in time for HNIC. It is great to be a Canadian in Florida during hockey season. Headed back to work for December.

scoreboard matters. the rest is irrelevant. duchene no points in 3 games.

he'll hit the scoreboard today i think with such an easy win.

They might have to raise a giant "Participant" ribbon to the rafters this year.

At this rate scatso and d'oops will never be back. Clearly scoreboard and standings matter, and (when necessary) point %, the reality of the better situation sets in.

Sens have only Ceci who is a regular at under 23. And don't pick till the 4th round this draft. Sad state of affairs that hot mess of a hockey team is. Clear out more seats...

Duchene still a big fat 0. Just like the sens center ice says.

Losers pile up the losses.
