That is the year the Sens used the 15th pick to select the precious one.

Sens are pretty hard on the cap right now and they have space for about one player. I hope it is another power forward, perhaps Evander Kane.

Were you one of the guys who thought I was off my meds last summer when I predicted the Sens would trade for Duchene?

- spatso

lol.

you were saying they shouldn't trade for doshane and should trade for mackinnon.

back to rebab for you.

oh its hard to make those comparisons...

it was your idea

once we started you realize its not what you expected.

the leafs drafting has been pretty average. for many years they just didnt keep the picks or prospects they drafted.. .but thats a different thing.

as always you make dumb comments not really based on actual facts.

- senstroll

My comment was that I did not think the Leafs wanted to compare draft disasters. No intention of limiting to first round picks. As you should note I started with Tyler Sequin and Dougie Hamilton. What you do with the pick in terms of development like Alex Steen is important.

No that was a particular response to a Colorado poster say they should offer up Chabot for Duchene and I said that was not going to happen. If Colorado wanted Chabot Ottawa should be open to that idea if McKinnon was available. At that time there were stories floating around that Colorado might be open to dealing McKinnon. Interesting that during the trip to Stockholm, I again saw a reference that the Colorado rebuild may not include McKinnon.

Are you for real?

You have negative credibility on here. You just went and made up a bunch of crap again. Nothing more needs to be dug up to prove that.

But just for poops and giggles.

Would I do a Duchene for Turris deal?

Not sure what you gain. Both are very good players. But Turris is one of the best at playing Boucher's game and he has been clutch when it really matters.

Players always have an adjustment period after a trade and I am not sure you want to change up the chemistry that already exists with the team.

Turris would make a huge difference in Nashville aspirations.

Pageau has become Boucher's favourite go to guy and he gets all the top defensive roles. He has played really well in an offensive role since Turris went down.

Clearly Ottawa is not going to give Turris the long term deal (up to 8 years) that he wants. I agree with the need to exercise caution as their are some bigger deals that need to get done over the next few years.

Peak production for a forward is age 26 and younger with significant drop off after age 28. I am fine with short term deals for forwards at high dollars just do not provide excessive term. Long term deals with primary Dmen are okay as they move well into their 30's at peak performance rates. Same for goalies.

I don't disagree with any of what I said before. My comments have always been on the basis that I know that Ottawa wanted Duchene. I am a huge Turris fan and I love his 200' game.

Not sure the point your trying to make.

I like Bobby Ryan, the player, don't mind his being paid $7m this year...but hate the term. There are lots of matters that I have qualified opinions on.

Cool, wet day in Florida. Mrs. Spatso made me flip the TV to The Young and the Restless. Boring. I would rather watch cartoons.

Getting ready for Black Friday. Expecting huge discount on 75" TV.

Right now the Canadian and US prices are exactly the same (after conversion) but delivery is easier if bought from a Canadian dealer.

Also, not sure if 75" TV fits in the box of my truck.

Because most TV's are made in Mexico they are not subject to any duty payments under Nafta. So, if I buy in the US I only pay the Federal Government portion (5%) of the GST.

I see no contradiction between what I said before or after the trade.

The Kessel trade set in motion the dominoes that led to the Leafs full on tank and rebuild

that was a draft miracle not disaster

Thats one of the greatest Leaf moments ever

you really never dial it back with the Sens and the Prospects.. we are going on 6 years of you pumping them up back to the great rebuild of 2011 when they had 3 picks in 1st round ..all of who were going to be impact players..blah blah
every year several rookies are ready to make the jump

Chabot was a lock to make the team out of camp..ROY and whatever else you predicted that didnt come true (every(frank)ingthing)

- senstroll

Chabot was one of the best players not in the NHL... White was the other

Hard to believe a Leaf fan wants to start comparing lists of draft disasters.
- spatso

The difference is that we didn't proclaim our marginal picks to be the best players not in the NHL.

If you can find where we did... please post it.

Something about a blind squirrel. Oh, and we never thought that trade would be such a marginal upgrade at such a high price.

I am entirely content with the standings. Sens have had a great start.
