I am starting to think this current implosion might be a good thing for the Sens
it gives them a reason to trade Karlsson and get a boatload of stuff back.

when his deal is up he will be 28..and he will (read should) get at least 11mil... imo he should be in the 12-14 range. I dont think thats a great business decision for the sens to lock him up from 28-35/36 age at that much money

its going to to fun to watch this play out.
The Sens have really turned into the Leafs from 2005-2014...just a bad situation, no direction. Fans unhappy. Go full on rebuild, I know people will say the fans will dissapear.. but trust me, Fans will show up if you give them hope, take a stance and dont half ass stuff. the LEafs sucked but it was fun collecting elite prospects and watching the team grow.

Totally agree. But do you want Dorion in charge of such an important deal? And will the current ownership really want to do this if the rumours of the team being for sale are true? I guess a lot still hinges on the downtown arena deal.

i see 9 of the current playoff teams above the line; based on point %.

by game 30, i'd expect that number to rise to 12 or so.

by the end of the year, only 2-3 teams below the line should be playoff teams.

so i'd expect some of bos, mtl, edm and cal to move up to playoff positions. some of col, NJ, vegas and ott to fall out by the early december.
