you really never dial it back with the Sens and the Prospects.. we are going on 6 years of you pumping them up back to the great rebuild of 2011 when they had 3 picks in 1st round ..all of who were going to be impact players..blah blah
every year several rookies are ready to make the jump

Chabot was a lock to make the team out of camp..ROY and whatever else you predicted that didnt come true (every(frank)ingthing)

Ottawa has great talented players they drafted and developed. There is no better Dman anywhere better than the precious one. Stone is playing as well as any power forward in the NHL. Hoffman is now leading the league in consecutive games scoring at least one point in every game (8). Ceci is getting more and more recognition as a premier blue liner. All these guys put time in the AHL. Some put in a good deal of time.

I am impatient and would like for them to bring players along more quickly. But, for the most part, they are excessively patient and it appears to work for them. They think they moved on Curtis Lazar too soon and I believe it has made them overly cautious with some of the current prospects.

Both Colin White and Thomas Chabot will be in the Senators lineup by the time the playoffs start. Ben Harpur has played exceptionally well and he should be getting a regular shift with the big club. The Sens are going to have to move a few players to make space.

They held back Stone and Hoffman forever. Just the way Ottawa does it.

Hard to believe a Leaf fan wants to start comparing lists of draft disasters.

That is goofy. The draft is a body of work over an extended period of time. I suppose if your doing #1 picks you want to include Luke Schenn, Tyler Sequin and Dougie Hamilton.

Dangle scored 20 goals in his rookie season playing on a really bad team. I have always believed that if he had gone to a better team or if he would have had a slower development pathway he would have had more success.

I went back 25 years?

How can you call players drafted in 3rd or 4th rounds busts?
the expectation should not be high

Luke Schenn has played over 650 NHL games, he is currently playing in the NHL.
Hard to say thats a bust. the average NHL career is like under 200 games

And you also want to include players drafted by other teams for the Leafs?

Daigle is a tough one for me.
he did not come near to living up to expectations. He was taken #1 overall
he has to be weighted a litte different imo

adding..
you said draft disasters

Daigle is probably exactly that for the sens

Luke Schenn is pretty much what he was advertised to be when drafted

Leafs picked him higher than he probably should have been

Hard to make those comparisons. In the case of Daigle he was finally traded forgery Prospal, Faloon and a 2nd round pick. Prosper was a good player for the Sens helping them make the playoffs. For many years the Sens were drafting very late, especially in those years where they won or challenged for the President's Cup.

Arizona sucks and has got some great draft picks, they have some good players but are going nowhere as a team.

Sens are pretty hard on the cap right now and they have space for about one player. I hope it is another power forward, perhaps Evander Kane.

Were you one of the guys who thought I was off my meds last summer when I predicted the Sens would trade for Duchene?

oh its hard to make those comparisons...

it was your idea

Hard to believe a Leaf fan wants to start comparing lists of draft disasters.

once we started you realize its not what you expected.

the leafs drafting has been pretty average. for many years they just didnt keep the picks or prospects they drafted.. .but thats a different thing.

as always you make dumb comments not really based on actual facts.
