This year’s and last year’s first in the doshane trade…means no help coming from the draft or from Belleville after shabot and hwite. Brwon is a bust.

Sens went all in with the doucheane trade; but didn’t actually upgrade their lineup. They only gave up assets.

I don't think Dorion does anything without making sure the coaching staff is happy with the direction. Boucher knows exactly the players he wants. These guys were so hot for Duchene I was certain that they were going to give up a top prospect.

Turris became expendable because Brassard has had such a strong start and because Pageau and Thompson have been outstanding in 3rd and 4th line roles. In order for Ottawa to beat Tampa they have to match their speed of play.

A lot of Ottawa's team speed comes from their D. With the addition of Duchene, watch Boucher turn the burners on full.

i have a few contacts around the Sens (not insiders) but regularly around management and players. Everyone is really pumped over the acquisition of Duchene. They think they need to get past Tampa to get to a final and Duchene has been their target for a good while.

i still think they will add a power forward at deadline. They have great speed on every line. They need to add a bit more Mark Stone type sandpaper into their defensive play.

Sun and beach are just awesome.

Senators are only $500k under cap. They have another $4.6m. from MacArther being on LTIR. It works out to almost the exact number to fit Evander Kane into their roster.

i am a huge fan of Kane. He has done okay lately in terms of his extra carricular beheviours. Hope he is on Sens short list of the player they plan on adding.

I liked Zibanejad but he was on the ice for too many important goals against. If you give up lazy goals Boucher does not want you. So, I have to think they already know the quality of Duchenes defensive play. But, I want to see it for myself.
