Hahaha! No. Filppula has been a key guy here since he arrived and the team's record since the trade is at a pace that would get them into the playoffs. I can't think of a better trade Hextall's made off the top of my head.

You're right, I mixed up the 2015 seasons and let them blend together.

However, your point about AMac being instantly paired with Ghost after he ripped up the league was incorrect or at least misleading. AMac was in the minors for most of that season and was called up due to injuries.

Mac going to the minors has nothing to do with what I was originally talking about.

I was making the point that Mac by default has for some reason saw the most time with our more gifted defensemen since he's been here. He was on a top pair with Coburn first. After returning from the minors, he was placed with Ghost. He's playing with Provorov now.

Haha, addition by subtraction. Gives you an idea of the overall state of the team at that point. Also, I think the pick they took Konecny with came with Gudas for Coburn but Gudas was hurt and didn't play at all for them until the next season. I'll qualify my earlier claim and say the Filppula trade provided the most immediate benefit of any of Hextall's trades so far.
