Not in any way.

I’d love for anyone to tell me why A CEO of wal Mart should make how much he does and in turn live that lifestyle opposed to say a baker.

Education, effort, blah blah blah. Nobody should be making how much some of these people make.

- flyer_nutter

The difference is the CEO of walmart is responsible for over 2.1 million employees and a baker is responsible for a bakers dozen. That is just a start. It's not unreasonable that a CEO be paid based on how a company performs, just like he could be fired for just the same.

Not really the best source there.

50k for rent + utilities is crazy even for Manhattan.

This is specific to Canada tax rates (They're higher than USA)

Article is probably accurate for escrow and agent fee calculations.

- JFlyers00

Is it, though?

Remember the people who were doing the whole 99% protest a few years back? I'm not sure what the local wage is for your average construction worker or truck driver, but I can guarantee you it's more than those people made while they were protesting.
- jmatchett383

Right. How much coverage did those protests get? Compared to say the new Kardashian baby?

If there ever was a revolt, it would need to be the majority of people, and it wouldn’t be pretty. People in power don’t just give it up freely.

I do think so much of the “message” out there today is to just keep your head down, go to work, etc. Focus on trivial things, watch your TV.

I hope you didn't whine and complain about not being able to find a job.
- jmatchett383

It was difficult to find a job. The teaching profession is very competitive right now. I am lucky to be working. Just because you have a job, doesn't mean you don't have the right to pursue a job that makes you happy. But I understand what you mean.

No, this is incorrect.

During Mac's full first season after resigning here, Mac started the season with Coburn on the top pair. It was the following season, his second season that Mac was sent to the minors.

I didn't create anything.

- SuperSchennBros

He never said he went to the minor his first year, he said 2015-2016, which was correct. But I'd be lying if I said I could remember all of the partners he's had, you may very well be right about Coburn.

Simple. Ethics. He should care more about those around him, and realize he could live more than a nice lifestyle on say a generous 250,000 a year.

I’d love to have him tell me why he couldn’t do that.

False. There is nothing unethical about it. You can't make that case in reality.

No, it was difficult to find a job that you liked. You just stated that you freely quit a job because you hated it.

Again, using my dad as an example, he hates his job and hates his boss. But as a responsible adult, he deals with it because he needed to provide for his family.

If you can find a job that you love to take care of yourself, you're lucky. But that's not a privilege or a right, it's something that you have to work for. People just think that good jobs should be handed to them, and that's not the case.

Again, agree to disagree. The notion that the current wage gap divide is ethical is wrong to me.

I think most people agree that the gap is too wide. But you know what, that's how things are, and there's nothing any of us can do right now to change it. Sucks, but it's the real world. You don't have to like it, but that's how it is.

So, about people being happy that a dude got injured...

MJL is knowledgeable and yet disrespected by everyone. Right now he's the only one on here that I feel isn't giving phony Mac love.

Very true.

I am not insane enough to pack my things and go off into the woods, but I do truly hope that one day society can evolve to where the is more equality for all. Like most things, think that will have to be fought for.

I think as a species we are too likely to accept a status quo that’s borderline comfortable.

How could anyone ever disrespect the courteous, considerate, gracious, and overly open-minded person that MJL is?

He's such a swell person and never tries to get a rise out of people or egg them on. I don't see any way that people on here could ever have a bad opinion of such a warm, inviting person.

-Crying about making 250k a year is weird to me. You want to fix society? Make a maximum wage as well as a minimum wage. See the greedy pigs cry about that.

Yes but the miscommunication is where he got his years mixed up with my original post. Mac and Coburn only saw one full season together as teammates and that was the season Coburn was traded.

Not arguing with you. He just kinda put words in my mouth and Coburn and Mac did start the season as the top pair during the 2014-15 season before Coburn was injured. That's where he's wrong.

Yeah but what you getting at?

That you don’t have a power over some of us? Hell man you do, and you know you do. I don’t mind, fun sometimes.
