Pittsburgh are still the team to beat in the East as long as Crosby is around.
Columbus are big and skilled and would be very tough to beat in a 7 game series.
Tampa are very good with Stamkos healthy.
Washington still have a great core.
So despite what the odds say the Leafs, if they make the playoffs, could be a first round loser.

He's a very solid player - that has one of the worst contracts in the NHL, $9 million this year, $8.5 million next year, and $6 million for four more years for salary - with a cap hit of $7.5 million. WAAAAAY OVERPAID - Just ask yourself Scabbie - is he as good as Kadri? He's $3 million in cap hit more every year for 6 more seasons.

I like Muzzin - and LA might go for that deal, but here's the rub: Bean is controllable for about 7 more years, he will pe paid little for at least two more years, as opposed to $4 million for Muzzin. Bean also has a much higher ceiling and could fit in nicely with this young quick Leaf team.

Carolina is weak at centre scoring, but even weaker at faceoffs. Bozak was 15th in the league in faceoffs last year. Staal was their best at 28th and Rask was 61st

I can't imagine LA parting with Muzzin for anything less than JVR. And yes, I'd make that deal. And also yes, I would love to part with Bozak... that would be a sweet, sweet deal if we could land Muzzin for the deal you proposed.
