Really? I don't see an issue with Toews this year. His line has been the only one going most games.

Did you see him in his prime? Totally different player.

Have you watched any games this season besides the first two? From what I've seen in the past few games, this Hawks team looks slow, old or inexperienced. Nice little bursts here and there, but nothing sustainable for a full 60 minutes. I love what Toews has done for this franchise, but he's worth about 1/2 of his contract and not getting much done out there.

Two things: (1) Toews doesn't look right, hasn't earned his pay for a while now. Very puzzling how bad he looks (2) small sample size to date

I've watched his whole career and I really disagree. He looks like his usual self to me.

Kane looks much worse than Toews

Somethings up with Kane. I don't think its physical. I think its mental, he's not all there and I think he's thinking about getting outta town and getting a change of scenery. He's not stupid. He see's the direction this Hawks team is headed, maybe they work out a blockbuster deal before the season ends if the Hawks slip out of the playoff picture.

I don't believe the problems this team has is coaching--related. At least coaching isn't the primary issue.
Players getting older and lack of younger faster skilled players--is the main problem.

Anyone who thinks--as constituted--this is a Cup final team is fooling themselves. The problems Nashville exposed are still there.

Sad but true

While Toews looks faster this year and his line has been our best line, Toews individually is still not who he once was(2009-2015 Toews will likely never be seen again). But right now he's far from our worst player.

Nah he used to have way more explosive offensive capabilities. He's taken a step back for sure from who he was in his true prime.

The Hawks finally showing signs of life and Kane had probably his best shift in the last 5 games, but it is too late. They needed to get their legs in gear before the 3rd.

Time to kick Q upstairs let Dineen have the rains . Need more of a teaching coach at this point . The talent is there, just need some structure and confidence , not head games . Every coach has a shelf life . Q can still contribute .

Boy some nights U can't by a goal ...

Well naturally any team thats up 4-0 in the 3rd is gonna stop trying when the period winds down. Its not that the Hawks are finding some other gear or something like that. STL simply doesn't care anymore.

If this is still the way they look after about 20-30 games I think a coaching change will become a legitimate discussion.

Nah. He has always had his moments but this has pretty much always been his game. 2-way play, driving possession and scoring his goals near the net. The decline of Toews is fake news.

He used to win 9 out of 10 puck battles, now it's usually 5 out of 10. His legs were always moving, now he coasts. The drive and hunger isn't there. I get it, he's burned out, but FFS, we need that cap space!

it's easy to see that Hartman didn't go into the goalie, you can see his skates, he didn't push himself forward.

Roughing couldn't be a clearer call than that. Literally the definition of roughing.
