I know everyone has bag games every now and then, and i know its a little too early to make a judgement like this.

But this is different. And i don't wanna hear any excuses this time.

This is like the Leafs game. Where its not like we're just getting beat. We're getting beaten so soundly that it really says a lot about how far away this team is from contending. I mean these games(you can include the Habs game that we should have lost, the first 2 periods of the Preds game, pretty much everything after those first 2 wins) aren't close. We're getting MANHANDLED. Looks like we're from a minor league or something.

When its that bad, like its been again tonight, that speaks volumes. Schmaltz hasn't made any difference. Its likely that there's nothing that can be done, too many problems to fix, our time has come and gone. This team we're seeing tonight is all that's left. An inferior hockey team.

I'm going with the fantasy that everyone on the hawks has the flu.

Maybe Schmaltz isn't 100% but tonight he and Hartman are not good enough line mates for Kane, who looks frustrated.

AA looks like he hasn't recovered from last year's injury. Will he ever? He needs to or they need to move him, which would be tough.

This team has looked better THIS year. That gives me hope they can get back to that better pace. But this is not a Stanley Cup contending roster.

That is RIDICULOUS. ....HUGE overpay.

I was saying AA + Hino for Galchenyuk OR AA + Fortin for Galchenyuk... not ALL of those guys for him.

JJ's mentioned it already, but WOW does this team of trouble breaking out of their own zone.

Every time the D get the puck to move it ahead it's an adventure.

It's not even close.

Coaching needs to work on fixing that.

That's exactly the negative attitude I'm talking about.

I'm not worried long term... This game, maybe

Same thing that happened vs the Preds in the playoffs. Too much of the weak just chip it out to center when under pressure. They need to make some adjustments to support and shorten up the passes.

Due to skill and speed, the Blues are clogging the center of the ice so the Hawks are not able to hit the outlet passes. The D has to move it up and then chip and chase to the forwards. Plenty of speed in our top 9 to get that pack. Its all about WANT and he have ZERO of that tonight.

This team doesn’t look any different from the team that took the ice and got swept 4 straight against Nashville.
Completely out played, out shot, out hustled.
Same crappy PP. IMO this team needs a coaching change. Coaches get stale after so many years, the same message falls on deaf ears.
There’s too many players that are invisible on the ice.

Keep up with your numbers & stats. Really help with your knowledge of Hockey.

Make sure to wash your Seabrook jersey too.

If you can't see how bad & slow he is to todays game then you have no clue.

Emphasis on coaching staff. The recipe on beating the Hawks has been out for a while. Big fast teams equal trouble. Zero adjustments from this coaching staff dating back to last year. New look PP scheme is a joke. Cram everyone onto one side of the ice.

I thought the most recent PP got some decent looks and DeBrincat is creating from the half boards.

A la PIT switching to Sullivan midseason in 2015-16. Yep

What I'm seeing on the ice isn't missing skill, it's missing motivation, energy, coordination, and smart playmaking.

Not sure if there is a coach available out there who would be a good fit for this set of skills in today's league?

Have you watched any games this season besides the first two? From what I've seen in the past few games, this Hawks team looks slow, old and at times inexperienced. Nice little bursts here and there, but nothing sustainable for a full 60 minutes. I love what Toews has done for this franchise, but he's worth about 1/2 of his contract and not getting much done out there.

He said he needed to get faster. No Johnny. You need that monster core strength you had that allowed you to cycle pucks, win board battles. Brutal game tonight.
- z1990z

It is sure painfull to watch Toews play nowadays. ( actually the last 2+ years). If his back is his problem ... Than he will most likely never get back to his high skill level. Toews reminds me of Bolland with his back issues that shortened his career. I hope I am wrong?

Really? I don't see an issue with Toews this year. His line has been the only one going most games.

He and his mates lead the team in CF% 5x5 - over 70% - giving up very few Corsi events.

This seems like one of those cases where Q is gonna shake of the D pairs next game.
