I still think Canucks pull off a trade for top 6 this year. I was reading a few days back Canucks did talk to Edm about RNH / Tanev. I think TDL Tanev will be moved for a good deal.

Canucks should be looking at moving some upcoming UFAs .

- VANTEL

Don't think JB wants to move Tanev for many reasons. Also, JB wants to break OJ in after time with Salo. Tanev would be best player mentor for OJ.

Same return as Hamonic would be the best comparable

-6 months a part in age
- a lot of plus and minuses for each player make it a good baseline.

To get that return you would have to wait til the draft I imagine

I think from what I seen OJ is at least two years away. Chattfield will bring exactly what Stecher will bring and Weircioch can step in too. Canucks can remain competitive if a player goes down or gets moved.

The more the puck is in the other end the less we need to defend. I would not mind seeing Brady Tkachuk drafted next year in the 3-7 pick

Depends on the team I think, team that has a legit shot at the TDL might pay a steep price (I'm thinking EDM or T-dot here). I hope Tanev does us a solid and totally bottoms out if he goes to weither of those teams

Hard not to like Tkachuk, bigger and meaner than his brother and seems to love the net front/dirty areas

No fan of either Turris nor RNH at their contract or askng price/term.
I'd rather wait it out for EP & Gaudette instead.
Keep drafting & developing namely D.

Perhaps. Let's see what Salo does with OJ. Chatfield is a great story and probably have a shot soon. But Tanev would be better for OJ next couple of years.

We need highly skilled centers and there's only one way to get those, 99% of the time, through the draft.

Turris is free, he costs you nothing but dollars at year end. If he wants an eight year deal though, he can GFH. He would allow the young kids a few years to develop if they could get him on a five year deal, but I'm hearing he wants long term as in seven or eight years.

My only problem is exactly that.
At 28 that takes him to 35/36.
5yrs then i am ok but idk if thats merely a pipe dream.

Like I told Lefty I am not in a hurry to acquire a center. I feel confident in the centers we have now and more will be coming coming up in the next three years. I think even now our D is not horrible . I am looking more at wingers as our prospects develop.

I like JVs growth and I think BB and maybe Goldy should should see time in the NHL in the next two years . Things seem to be falling into place

We're gonna draft 14 to 31 next year, who do we trade for that top 6 pick that we need to draft Tchunk?
