That kid Sonny Milano who scored against the Hawks the other night with 2 goals so far tonight and 4 on the year. Great start to the year for him.

Edit: I guess his second goal was the OT winner, so I was wrong on the "so far", but still, like this kid.

JJ your right about each fans choices, even though the kid scored tonite, if he's the piece that Sakic becomes hell bent on for a Duchene trade to Chicago, I'm making the deal, your last paragraph says a lot, this is the NHL baby, this isn't kids removed a year out of mom and dads house playing in the OHL. Duchene is a win now piece and probably would be so re energized to play with this group.

Oh, the old nuclear option. That was always his go-to back in the day.

Some growing pains there for Alex DeBrincat.

Game is painful to watch...Once again Hawks barely hanging on...total goal tending win if the Hawks hold on.

The young guys are having some rough breaks. Forsling more consistently than Debrincat, but all Cat's seem to result in a prime scoring chance.

Well, score effects does that to a team. They won the middle frame handily and are now in prevent hockey. The only good thing is they're letting Crawford see everything cleanly, which is how he liked it.

Seems better than last night when the Leafs were getting chances from the prime scoring areas. Hawks are keeping the chances to the outside a fair bit better or from tough angles at least.

Can anyone give me an opinion on what they see from Franson tonight. My feeling is he's been on both sides of the spectrum. My question is has he been better then Murphy. I feel he's been worse.

Canadiens dont have any triggermen aside from Drouin and Pacioretti. Leafs are stacked offensively

Hawks trying to find their speed tonight. Kero's been fine tonight saved two goals.
Cleared the crease on one and then a beauty of a backcheck when one of the Habs would have been in on Craw.

Crawford on his game this evening no question.

The good part of it is that Q is using his entire bench this period. After that first mistake I figured Debrincat would be stapled to the bench but not so. Grab the 2 points and head home a tired team.

They're doing a better job but I hate prevent hockey. Allowing a large quantity of shots, no matter the quality, can often lead to goals against. I'd rather they keep pushing possession, but that is rarely going to happen when up late in a game especially away.

Hawks overcome a team playing hard in their first home game as well as brutal officiating.

And I will not waver from my dislike of the Franson....
yeah, tell me about the sweet pass to ADB that went for AA first goal,
every other bad decision he makes bothers me to no end.

Sure....Murphy was sent a message to stop running around.

I am a firm believer in continuing to play each new defender who is younger and continue to put them in tough situations and then firm things up with Keith and Seabrook hold down the fort against the better opposing lines.

Play the newbies /kids b/c their development is what every future post season will depend upon....HAWKS win! 7 points out of 8

I have to say Rutta has been the new player that has impressed me the most. Every game the young man gets better and better.

Side note I have watch quite passionately for the past couple years. I have never notice Plekanecs this much. Wow. Good game, or someone who's flown under the radar?

Kane just can't do anything right on this road trip...I'm glad the team is going home.

The last 5 minutes i thought the Hawks did a nice job of making the ice very small for the Canadiens

Joke! MTL didn't deserve to win. And you wonder why it looked like they outplayed Chi. Don't look at stats, look at the play (and calls) on the ice.
