It will never take that long. I haven't had the time to ask 2real how he felt his boy Martin jones played in game 1. I thought he was shaky.

The Rangers hate runs deeper in me. Devils were a non-factor for the Flyers until the 90s, the Rangers have been hated since the 70s.

It was 85 until the Flyers players I hated were gone and the same with NY. The 85 cup run with Pelle was the start of my love affair with the Flyers. There were no Devils yet when I left Jersey. Was never a fan and they just pissed me off from the start.

My hate for the Rangers was cemented long before the Devils existed. Actually, it was even before the seed of the Devils' history was planted.

That's not a valid reason for liking the Rangers.
That's like saying you're a Cowboys fan because you grew up in Dallas, or a Maple Leafs fan because you grew up within 200 miles of Toronto.

See, that Devils seed is my problem. I can't be held accountable lack of expantion in a timely fashion by the league. Nor can I be held accountable for a poor up bringing. It took a while but both the league and myself have corrected those short comings. 😅

Dude, that is the ONLY REASON. You root for your local teams. That Cowboys example is the worst. Those ARE the people that should be rooting for them . Not dumb ass people who root because they win, or the uniforms are cool and HAVE NEVER EVEN BEEN TO TEXAS LET ALONE DALLAS.
BTW, did you miss the part about there only being SIX teams when I started rooting for teams. Started playing then too.

That's a valid excuse for like 95% of teams. But certain teams, like the Rangers, Cowboys, Yankees, Devils, and Ravens...there is no reason, aside from family relations to players/staff, to like them. None, zero, zilch.

I always saw the Penguins as more of a Crosby rivalry. If Crosby, Malkin, and Letang retired tomorrow, the rivalry would be next to dead. For the Rangers, I will hate them no matter who is on the team.
