Vancouver is pretty unique with the poorest postal code in Canada. - golfingsince
I thought people knew that. It's completely unique. |

I get that – but (I assume) a large argument was because of the two big incidents last year. I'd be interested to see how many of these slashes to the hand area (because they're calling them even if it's near the hands) resulted in injuries last year against how many happened per game, versus hits to the head resulted in concussions against how many per game.
Maybe I'm just annoyed because a) the games are so penalty-laden now it's detracting... are the players gonna learn? Are the refs going to stay on top of calling it like this? & b) the ineptitude/hypocrisy of actually taking a hard line against hits to the head to weed them out. - NewYorkNuck
Hack n whack is & never was hockey.
NHL just let it slide. Players learn or get 2

Very true, but to people who don't know what the DTES is all about are (frank)ing scared poopless when they find themselves amongst it.
I would say the DTES is just as scary as any city in the US but not nearly as dangerous.
I used to see tourist lost in that rats nest. Holding their maps and looking so frightened. |

I remember taking my friend for a walk through there. The look on his face was priceless as he said " we don't have anything like this in Toronto ". |

If DD has an impact now, beyond Booner's punching bag take, but TG deployment as a pest/agitator, is he needed to play in game against Sens over sitting BB? - Nuck4U

I used to take visitors to 'needle alley' just behind the old lotus restaurant and close to International Village. It's a scene right out of a horror movie.
My boss is from South Africa and he's jokingly said if you take any of those American street gangs and plopped then down in a Johannesburg ghetto, they would melt in fear. It's all perspective I guess. |

Maybe not AS scary, but it's definitely close. Maybe visually as haunting... that'd be a good word for it. I took my girlfriend back over the summer (who's from Philly, I live in Brooklyn) and she was shocked at how open the needle scene was. I used to live down in Chinatown so I got used to it all. However, walking through that, or walking through somewhere like Compton or South Chi... definitely more dangerous down here. |

It's unique all right. Most expensive city in the country to live in and the poverty rate hovers around 50%…I'd put on an lol face but it's really not all that funny. |

I was going to comment on 'next season' but I've done enough damage for one day.
Your turn. - bloatedmosquito
Please go ahead with a hockey point on next season reference to prospects. You advocate for playing the kids and prospects. Not so sure Marwood is on your wavelength with this and more in tune to something else you alluded to now. |

Stoked about what TG game plan will be this week against different style opponents.
Not concerned about wins or losses but more how team plays and is deployed. - Nuck4U
As long as TG doesn't fall into the same trap as WD. Win now instead of deve |

I don't know if a "pest off" is a good game plan for a coach in looking for scoring. |

The gun violence is insane in the US but in Africa they take it to a whole new level of violence.
These gang members use hyenas and baboons to (frank) you up. Bullets are too expensive. |

Remember that PM I sent you some time ago. I may have overdid it a tad.

If you are going to tease in a post about it you should reveal the PM....or do you support collusion...? |

Well, not much sympathy either. We are all very fortunate to live in Canada. No matter how bad it gets here is could be worse. A lot worse. |

Read a great article about people moving back to rural east coast to create business and to live a 'simple' life. Good to hear. |

Yeah I agree. The guys that don't learn will sit in the penalty box or end of the bench. |
