I think they were hoping someone would take Boucher off waivers, I don't think there is any trade value there.
- A_SteamingLombardi

Probably as he was first Canuck placed on waivers. Right after plane touched down from China lol. But he might have depth value now in a lateral AHL trade. NJ wanted him in their system.

Boucher has talent. But he gets away with his lack of speed and being in top shape at levels below NHL. The NHL demands are a big difference that many find out the hard way.

TG even criticized OJ for not being fit enough. We know Tree didn't realize it coming from KHL. Suppose part of NHL ready, is all about knowing the level of commitment and having discipline to stick to it.

Summed up by CA like this:

"This is a major problem. What this means is that only five of Patrick Wiercioch, Anton Rodin, Darren Archibald, Michael Chaput, Jayson Megna, Carter Bancks, Wacey Hamilton, and Jaime Sifers will be able to play on any given night. And only four of them will be able to play if you want to also play both Reid Boucher and Philip Holm."

I am assuming that Holm and Boucher get development status preference to play.

Rodin, Chaput, Megna figure to be in top six. Wiercoch to recover confidence needs to play and would be top pairing.

So the need to sit out 4 vets puts Comet leaders like DA & Bancks in crosshairs.

Logjam will force moves. Does VGK have room on their AHL affiliate?

It is an issue for the 2 teams too work out, the only reason I responded is because it was posted quite a few times.

This topic of fact wasn’t gaining any response so I thought I’d respond. And isn’t it great that Goldobin isn’t considered a vet. He can play every Comets game and be a topic of being called up all year long.

Thanks Carol.

Great that green and cull think the same.

Now we have the best nhl coaching staff ever and the best ahl coaching staff ever!
So good, top 3 finish in both leagues guaranteed, 100%!

So we should soon hear how the Comets have the best coaching staff in their long history as the Quebec Beavers, Springfield Indians, Syracuse Warriors, Springfield Indians for the 2nd time, Springfield Kings, Springfield Indians for the 3rd time, Worcester Ice Cats, Peoria Rivermen and finally the Comets?

Don't really know why we got MDZ or Wericoch in the first place, I thought losing Sbisa freed up that 6 and 7th spot for depth guys we already had.

I wish we had traded Edler like 3 years ago when everyone wanted him.

I agree, but doubt he would have waived his NTC back then.

If Edler is played with Tanev a lot which seems to be a favored pairing for TG then his value might become good enough to have JB force a trade. It does depend if the other D are able to step up though.

Yup.

Playing with Tanev is like being a RW on the Sedin line in their prime. It's hard not to look good.

I believe it was the 2013 Carolina 5OA pick that Gillis passed on for Edler from what I had heard.

Why would we want to play Boucher? Career ahler. Bust.
Rodin is euro trash
Holm is also euro trash
Goldy isn't a vet
Archibald has na heart, play him
Wierdo has potential play him
Guance is God play him
Who cares about number 4 and 5 vets. They're bums like Hamilton and mr 700 games in the AHL BUSTS!

Also why dont we freak out some more about a buck of nobodies because we're a bunch of panty twisted little biatches who had it good for a (frank)ing decade while the pillow bitting oilers , flamers and twigs collected high draft picks.

WELL BOO (frank)ING WHOO, YOURE ALL A BUNCH OF WHINY LITTLE PANSIES WHO CAN'T DEAL WITH SUBBAN NOT BEING CALLED UP, TOO STUPID TO REALIZE ALCOHOL DOESN'T THICKEN BLOOD AND WANTING TO FRUCKING TANK AS$ED CRYBABIES. WAH BACK HOME TO YOUR MOMMY, HOMEY DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS BULL$HIT, YOU BUNCH OF TREE HUGGERS.

Rant over.

TLDR
You all suck, grow a pair! :thumbsup

What they could have had traded to have both Monahan and Bo in same draft. Talk about set at C. Dam Gillis and his Cup retool

Side note....2015 is looking like one of the best drafts ever:

Goldy and Dahlen should be in Comet top six. Don't think that's an issue and room for Boucher as well. If they don't think Boucher figures in then they should move him as he's not a good mentor vet.
- Nuck4U

I wasnt concerned they wouldnt be. But if they click best with Carcone, Molino, Banks, Archibald, Cassels, or whomever then those are the guys that should play; sit the rest of them that dont fit in. Those players succeeding is most important for the franchise, not being fair to AHLers or fringe guys - they are a dime a dozen

Rodin has 117 games played between AHL and NHL, that does not make him a vet as per Hal rules.
You continually post reference to CA articles, which have explained how it works, yet you can't figure out that 117 is over 100 games less than what it takes to qualify you as an AHL vet

- Reubenkincade

They count Rodin's Swedish league games as well and same as for Holm. But if you know better then CA and Carol, who also included Rodin as AHL vet status in this blog, then tell it to them.
