Good points other than i don't concern myself with attendance. Ottawa had empty seats in the PO's. TBL gives away tickets. Phoenix cannot give them away. In the end i watch hockey & others get into the overall picture more than it matters to me.

I respect Donna for still paying to go see them and I respect the ones not going back until there is a change.

We all here spend 82 nights a year watching them and 365 days talking about them . When all is said and done we all want the same thing

Green is just being typical. I expect nothing else.

I said many times when Green was being discussed for the future... people are assuming he's going to be different. We'll see. All his strengths they pointed too are the same strengths WD had in the AHL and WD left the AHL with more success. I'd expect just as many head scratchers coming as WD to be honest...

Yes and no.
Yes, he employees the same tactics as WD.
He is from the same coaching background, viewed exactly the same, etc..... but you forgot one crucial little detail......
Green, unlike WD, is the greatest coach in canucks history. Period. So... nice try being a pessimist, mister killjoy... not gonna fly around here.

1 game not even played yet & jumping the gun over nothing.
- Nighthawk

Jumping the gun? It's an opinion on an opinion board, I'd rather he played than sit, pretty simple.

So playing top minutes in Utica would have been better?

Playing anywhere is better than sitting. I think, my opinion, he showed enough to get some bottom six minutes in the NHL. I don't understand sitting him, but we'll see how it plays out.

I know he scored some and threw a few hits in the preseason. As TG said there are the little things that normal fans don't see. JV is a player that needs (even in the new NHL) top 9, scoring minutes. He doesn't have the game to displace any of the top 9 on the team.

TG also wants a shutdown line. JV isn't going to play shutdown.

Well obviously I think you're wrong, he does have the game to displace someone and it showed in the pre-season. As I said, we'll see how it plays out.

Good takeaway from the article below;

“Vancouver is a perfect fit for Travis,” Portland Winterhawks coach Mike Johnston insists. “Travis is not expected to win tomorrow. He’s expected to develop a team there. And that’s kind of what we did in Portland. That’s where his skill set is – developing players, developing a team.”

This.
If he remains sitting without any games played by the end of next week then I will get hysterical.

If the lines go like this, just a guess, I see too many old guys making too much money for a team that's suppose to be rebuilding.....no? This is why I didn't and still don't like the Vanek signing!

Whom? I know you think i'm wrong, it's funny because even an NHL coach doesn't think he can but I know this is an opinion page.
