The thing is sitting Jake is a head scratcher but it is game one. Regardless of the motif t will get a good part of the fans asking WTF.

Personally I thought Jake was the best forward in preseason but that's my opinion. It is too soon to assume anything and could be as simple as everyone will take a turn sitting out . Need to see what is going one.

Its not a sprint. He will get in when TG thinks he should. Some ppl play coach but never played the game. Some here need to chill & let it unfold. He played well in preseason but these games r for real.

I was about to call you a buzz kill...

It wasn't a shot. The only one I *remember* making a big deal of it was Nuc4u but I put a end to it with the thunder thigh pic that's been reposted a few times here. Not that he was being stubborn. Just needed a concrete reason respectfully.

Early on we didn't have the reports JV screwed up his cardio work out by trying to add weight which was also not done proplerly. If given more of a chance he probably would have corrected that like Tree did. But we got a full season of Skille, Megna and Chaput. How did that help?

Anyway, water under the bridge. JV screwed up and WD had zero tolerance besides other things.

As for now, would have hoped TG sit DD instead. But he's not keeping a static line up. So will see how this plays out.

No, it is a move that has been questioned on the radio , twitter , throughout the fan base .It has people like Ferraro McKenzie McGuire and other insiders saying it is a strange move.

It is a strange move people have the right to question it. No one is panicking but people are asking WTF

I agree. I'd start him. In typical I mean stuff like the new coach not wanting to stiff a vet in game 1 and petty crap like that. That means (frank) all to us... coaches seem to all have the same habits though.

Exactly, more than likely he'll be rotated in and out of the lineup while he earns a regular spot in the lineup. He got the last spot in the forwards, so him sitting the first game isn't a surprise. If he's not playing after 3 or 4 games then it's time to wonder why.

I did a lot of convincing myself they were not on the team. Now they are not. Now I'm doing the same with the Sedins... fingers crossed.

I suspected JV wasn't in shape. There were rumours and he reported too heavy most thought. Then you see the pic and it's confirmed, he didn't add muscle weight... he added beer weight.

WD lived right up to his firing that Megna and Chaput were good ideas while his pundits asked what the hell are you thinking? Pundits sometimes are right too.

The coaches at some point made positive comments of both those players in the preseason. Don't be surprised if they are first call ups and end up replacing a couple of young players.

This it true Booner . It is a coaches final decision of how the teams line up looks like .

It is the fans final decision to decide if they will spend their money .

It is a good thing Canucks are giving a free beer and tuxedo contest along with their gourmet hot dogs to try to lure people into their half sold out game.

WD has been beaten to death & he is gone.
His problem now he earned it. If all the pundits know so much its funny they mostly never played or coached. Anyone can have an opinion but thats all it is an opinion. We can sit back & woulda coulda shoulda til the cows come home & it changes nada. In the end sometimes goes not far.

You are entitled to your thoughts.

Here lies the problems for Canucks. Half filled buildings. They resorted last year to half price tickets and now to free beer and silly contests.

The Vancouver Canuck fan is not a fair weather fan , in fact most are quite educated. The fact is Canucks are putting out a sh1t product. It has nothing to do with winning or losing it has to do with a young fast exciting NHL vs Old Slow Canucks.

It is opening night and the most exciting player in the league is coming to town and still Canucks are looking for ways to sell tickets. What will the attendance be like when Avs come here?

Good points other than i don't concern myself with attendance. Ottawa had empty seats in the PO's. TBL gives away tickets. Phoenix cannot give them away. In the end i watch hockey & others get into the overall picture more than it matters to me.
