I’m assuming you are referencing Archibald, I’m not sure why you keep worrying about his status. If he is good enough to be included with the other veterans on the Comets he will be included in the rotation.
If they deem that Archibald is not talented enough or not in their plans then he will be traded, loaned out or sent to to Kalamazoo.
Archibald is not a guy to get worked up on, if he works out 👍 if he doesn’t 👋 - Makita
Archibald will get a contract (1 year, league min) with the Canucks in the next few weeks when it's determined that Dorsett isn't capable of playing any longer and is placed on LTIR for the remainder of his contract... |

That would be great for Archibald if it happens, then I guess the next Comets worry would have to be Goldobin or Rodin being rotated on the vet lines. |

Great, two AHL coaches that are on the same wave length. Should be great for a top 3 finish... - Makita
So we should soon hear how the Comets have the best coaching staff in their long history as the Quebec Beavers, Springfield Indians, Syracuse Warriors, Springfield Indians for the 2nd time, Springfield Kings, Springfield Indians for the 3rd time, Worcester Ice Cats, Peoria Rivermen and finally the Comets? |

Summed up by CA like this:
"This is a major problem. What this means is that only five of Patrick Wiercioch, Anton Rodin, Darren Archibald, Michael Chaput, Jayson Megna, Carter Bancks, Wacey Hamilton, and Jaime Sifers will be able to play on any given night. And only four of them will be able to play if you want to also play both Reid Boucher and Philip Holm."
I am assuming that Holm and Boucher get development status preference to play.
Rodin, Chaput, Megna figure to be in top six. Wiercoch to recover confidence needs to play and would be top pairing.
So the need to sit out 4 vets puts Comet leaders like DA & Bancks in crosshairs.
Logjam will force moves. Does VGK have room on their AHL affiliate? - Nuck4U
For me, chemistry dictates. If Goldobin or Dahlen play best with _____ then there you go. They shouldnt be concerned about guys that do not figure into their future, this is why the own their own farm team |

It's not like Tryamkin would take his glove off and punch back! |

It's not about being good enough. There is a logjam of who can play as a vet. Just stating facts. Those other vets are Comets property. Canucks would want their contracted players to take preference. So moves should be made.
On a side note, with theme for icetime development, maybe VGK would want Jordan. He can defend his brother who seems now in long term plans to develop as next number one. |

Goldy and Dahlen should be in Comet top six. Don't think that's an issue and room for Boucher as well. If they don't think Boucher figures in then they should move him as he's not a good mentor vet. |

I think I was agreeing that there is a logjam, hence the placed into the rotation comment. If he is in the ”Canucks” plans he will be taken care of.
If not, then something will happen to accommodate the Comets situation. Not worth worrying about. |

Many people on twitter are roasting Benning for this quote that he said to a reporter, saying it shouldn't have taken him this long to establish this. This quote actually makes me happy, because I think now he truly understands that this game is getting more skillful, faster, and youth must be developed and deployed appropriately.

Rodin is considered a vet by AHL rule. Goldy is not. |

There is no worry. It's just a topic of fact that's discussed. Vets will have to sit. Laid out who probably is more likely based on connections to Canucks. |

I think they were hoping someone would take Boucher off waivers, I don't think there is any trade value there. |

It is an issue for the 2 teams too work out, the only reason I responded is because it was posted quite a few times.
This topic of fact wasn’t gaining any response so I thought I’d respond. And isn’t it great that Goldobin isn’t considered a vet. He can play every Comets game and be a topic of being called up all year long. |
