He's better then Sakic. I'm not that upset in the job that he's done. Linden knows his limitations and works within them. Easy target to hate but never given any props. Keep him. - Pres.cup

For me "some knowledge" isnt good enough for the position of President. The ship is under your direction at that point and would've felt better if he had shadowed the front office for at least a year before getting the job - WhiteLie
LOL I guess...but it's comical the whining around here about Linden. Ken King is twice the clown that Linden is claimed to be but hey...it is what it is. |

Burke and Treliving don't answer to him when it comes to hockey moves.
I know a few diehard Flames fans, King basically handles the business/PR side of things for them.
If that's Linden's role, then that's cool. But he himself said that he gets final call on hockey moves in a radio interview back during his first year here as President. |

From Twitter, Bad call imo, he needs to play.

Looks like Virtanen will sit the first game. Bad choice. The Nux best lineup has Virtanen, Boeser with Granlund centering the third line. |

Too much is made out of it. Going on about his role he has hired JB for drafting & contracts r another aspect but not horrendous. JB has altered his scouting staff & works his butt off travelling & seeing prospects & has a good image around the leagues other GM's. Taking the good n bad & overall we r doing ok. |

Fair enough. But with the Aquilini's hovering around I'm willing to bet Linden isn't anywhere near the final call on all things Canucks...Benning either.
I read the Calgary papers pretty much everyday and you are correct...they have been calling for King's head for awhile until Burke and Treliving took over decision making.
I just find it funny how much heat Benning and Linden get when as Canucks fans we know we most likely have the worst meddling ownership in the league. |

Hmmm are they giving DD one game to fail going up against McDavid? Then it's easier to sit him? |

No it’s NOT
We are doing the proper “leafs style rebuild” according to most and what do you know? We can’t even sell out the home opener against the most exciting player in the world. We have a sh!t fanbasr that will NOT support a rebuild. Ferraro is a (frank)ing moron |

Chicken little time....
Anyway, lots of talk about what to do agaisnt McDavid. This is a long term question too. Best to contain him. For Canucks right now, I see JV as part of that equation. Wouldn't mind seeing how JV BO Sutter do against Maroon, McDavid, Draisatl. There are elements there in that Canuck combo to contain and strike back to score. |

I agree the team is doing ok at this point, low expectations and adding good promising prospects. I just have concerns with that group going forward, when the difference between winning and losing becomes reliant on good decisions. They have time to figure it out though |

That is not true . I watch every game and every day I am looking up everything Canucks.
I refuse to spend one penny on the team because they have a sh1t product . Soon as they change some personnel I will return to attending games.
The roster they have is not worth the dollar they charge. I have had no interest in the last couple of years to see old soft players.
Put out an exciting product and I will gladly ppay win or lose. |
