I personally didn't like Leier making the team...my opinion has changed through preseason and 1 1/2 games.

You don't get surprises like this when you "play it safe" with "more established" veterans.

I was in favor of it if only because he's been in the system for X number of years and thought, there is no way he could do worse than some of the bottom 6 guys we've had.

If he doesn't work out, he'll be easy to change out. I just thought you had to put a guy like Leier, who has tools, in a position to have a role, even a 4th line role, on this team.

Competitive first period. Awesome save by Neuvirth. The Kings are a heavy puck pressure team. The Flyers aren't going to win the territorial battle but hopefully can pot some goals and get another win. Thought Gostisbehere had a really strong first period.
