Which makes his comment even funnier IMO.

It was truly noticeable -- Leier and Laughton really got on top of guys and got to loose pucks and closed on shooters rapidly
It's hard to say if it's pure skating ability or confidence, and hthey were not perfect -- Leier had an egregious giveaway that was likely due to youth -- but it was definitely different having Flyers in the bottom six consistently getting to places when they needed to be there - AllInForFlyers

It amazes me how so many people don't venture outside of the Philly media. I mean, for the people who think Flyers management can do no wrong, they won't like what they hear anyways. - JFlyers00
There are very few who actually offer competent analysis. Most of it is group think and analysis from afar.

Jake looked fantastic last night. I don't know who that guy in preseason was. - Tomahawk
His size and speed is fantastic. I still think he could make better decisions with the puck, but he is absolutely one of the best forwards on the team |

My point is that in my opinion MacDonald wearing an "A" has zero bearing on what the Flyers may or may not do with him in the future.

I liked the whole top line.
From what I was watching it seemed having Couturier in the middle kind of allowed Giroux and Voracek to wheel and deal a little. Giroux looked like he had more time and space to make plays |

[shrugs] looked about what I expected a line full of your three best forwards to look like |

Yup, I also think the 2nd line, which looked fine last night, will only look better as Patrick gets back to full speed and they start to develop more chemistry.
The 3rd line would probably be better off with Raffl replacing Weise, but then you weaken the 4th line which has been playing very well so I wouldn't make that change. I'm not sure that swapping Weise for Lehtera does much to help things either, so hopefully Lindblom knocks their socks off at LHV and in a few weeks he can come up and replace Weise on that line.
One thing to think about for late in the season. I was really, really impressed with Vorobyev in camp. Hopefully he can pick up a little English and acclimate more to the NA style of game and rink as he spends the next few months in LHV. However, if they do move a guy like Filppula at the deadline and the kid is playing well, it would be very interesting to see a young line of Lindblom-Vorobyev-Konecny down the stretch kind of rotating in with the Laughton line as the 3rd/4th line. |

Spat on the flyers history? check
Took a cheap shot at Hakstol? check
Moaned about Ghost's coaching & usage? check
Exaggerated the decline of Giroux and Voracek? check
Beat a dead horse about AMac's contract? check
Man that guy get's me, I should venture out of the Philadelphia media more often. That will be tough to do up here in Canada.

LOL Don't sweat it. They're going back through posts to see what they can find
We all kniw what's coming: At some point, he will say something to me, I will remind him that Matt Read is on waivers and T.J. oshie isn't, and the board will move on with their lives |

As long as Lindblom plays well, I can certainly see it happening. Unlike the D, they have more than enough veteran forwards to swap out Weise for a kid and I believe they are much less concerned about having young forwards in the lineup than they are about having young D in the lineup.

They should stop with all the concern and get the kids in there. |

I've always been a fan of Raffl. He's a player that can move up and down the lineup and be effective. I like that 4th line but I just think that Raffl creates more with his skating and forecheck ability and can pop in the odd goal. With the veteran depth the Flyers have there should be competition for playing time among the bottom 6. |

Neuvirth will likely be starting in goal. Other than that, no one knows. There is no game day skate on the 2nd day of a back to back.
