Leier was terrific last night. Kid is playing like he wants to stay. His reaction and call to his mom to tell her he made the team is one of my favourite moments to start this season. |

Sorry guys I thought Amac was terrible last night. I thought he made three terrible plays in the second period that could've cost them the game. Manning shouldn't be playing ahead of either sanheim or morin, and I pretty much loved what I saw from the fourth line. |

Is their 3rd-line center, Kempe, the one we tried to sign a couple years ago and the NHL disallowed it? - Boyer83
No, that was Tomas Hyka, who's now in the LV organization. |

I didn't. I never heard of him and figured he was just some loudmouth clown on some message board. |

Amac was fine by his standards. Especially when you factor in the fact that playing him on the top pair is setting him up for disaster. |

It amazes me how so many people don't venture outside of the Philly media. I mean, for the people who think Flyers management can do no wrong, they won't like what they hear anyways. - JFlyers00
oh yeah because Dead spin is so well known for their informed hockey opinions. |

I'm not in the Philly media market and don't even bother to check in online on the local writers. |

wow, a lot of female doging and moaning considering the Flyers won. G scored even strength, Simmonds got the hatty. the PP was clicking, the kids on fourth line were flying...what's to complain about? If every game this season is that entertaining I'm cool with the lineup. |

Hextall has traded Scott Hartnell, Kimmo Timonen & Mark Streit while they were alternate captains & left Pierre-Edouard Bellemare exposed - YuenglingJagr

Pickard was someone I was interested in around the expansion draft. Thought Hextall also had his eye on him from the World Championships. Unfortunately doesn't look like a fit for a trade anymore. Would gladly send them Read or Lehtera though. |

Did it seem like Pierre was annoying the poop out of Milburry last night?
Pierre said something about reeling in Ray Bourque or something but Milburry was like " It was ray bourque, I just let him do his thing and played him as much as i could" - J35Bacher
It was perhaps the smartest thing Milbury has ever said.

just noticed Vegas has 11 forwards, 9 dmen (not including one on IR) and 3 goalies on the roster. how is that going to work - nastyflyergirl
They are paper moves because McPhee is trying to trade a defenseman still, I am fairly certain. He will have to waive someone if he can't make a trade in the next few minutes because they play tomorrow night.
Shipachyov and Theodore will be called back up. Tuch maybe as well. I don't like the 3 goalies move.
I don't think they are a bad team though, just not a good one |

I liked when he said. "Ray would come to the bench and sit. And when he stood up again, that was when I knew it was time for him to go back in and I called the switch."

Can't really blame him. I remember hearing an interview with Billy Cunningham when he was talking about the 66-67 championship Sixers team. He was asked something like don't you think it was amazing that Wilt Chamberlain played just about every minute of every game that season. Billy just laughed and said, it's not exactly rocket science to keep Wilt in the game.
When you have a Chamberlain or a Jordan or, in hockey, a Gretzky, Orr, Lemieux etc... it doesn't take a genius to realize that playing them as much as possible may just be a good idea.
What made me laugh the hardest was Pierre trying to compare Krist-O-pher Letang to Ray Bourque. Bourque, at age 40, was still a better player than Letang in his prime. Comical!

Oh yeah, cause Lozo totally writes for Deadspin on a regular basis
I wasn't even talking about him specifically. 95% of Flyer fans probably have no idea who Jeff Marek is. |
