Anyone else a little concerned that this team has demoted or traded the physical players that were a presense in pre-season.
I like the additions of Boeser and Jake, but was hoping too see a player like Archibald. His physical presence added something that this team sorely needs.
Skill is nice and so is a physical presence, especially for this super soft team.smiley face

From what I've been hearing/reading, it sounds like he has been the extra in practice. Obviously this can change between now and Saturday.

I'm pretty sure Green has autonomy on the roster.

Again, I'm basing this off Jake being the extra at practice, but what's the point going through the whole Archie vs Jake competition up to the last day of camp just to have Jake be an extra?

I feel like the season already started regardless of whether our first game is Saturday. I would hope they are not still trying to figure out their starting lineup.

Although it is fair to assume their schedule is a little bit different this year considering the China trip.

I tuned into Gilman yesterday, they were talking about it and he was fairly positive about the situation. Said if JV got 10 minutes per game that it would be worthwhile to have him on the squad. I hadnt listen to him yet, but he was a refreshing take

Burmistov. Can't remember the other one. When the radio mentioned yesterday that Jake was skating as the 13th I knew there might be a mild level of hysteria.

I think Hank, Bo and Sven's absences from practice this week made it so everyone left hadnt been 13th forward yet (though Burmistrov mightve been earlier this week)

It will be interesting to see if Benning is pandering to the fans again or if they actually keep Jake around as the 13th forward.

I think most agree he deserves a spot in the NHL based off his preseason but if he isn't going to play every game what's the point.

If I had to guess, Green was overruled, which is why we saw Archibald stick around so long before being cut and why we see Jake as the 13th in practice.
