Could be plan B for CBJ if they can't agree on contract with Anderson. Sure Flames would be happy to add draft picks/prospects to bounce Brower. Who could fill Anderson role now in CBJ if Flames also retain salary.
Lots of rumors around that Anderson kid... maybe Brower is the latest to explore.
Disappointed Pedan has been waived, I thought he looked good in pre-season, although those games are not very meaningful and people shouldn't be hanging hopes because of those games.
With the team still 1 player over, could be interesting to see who gets sent down/waived. Archibald Biega Boeser or Virtanen. - Reubenkincade
Pretty sure the waiver period is over, rosters need to be set by 2:00pm tomorrow, not enough time to waive anyone. That means Biega is here to start, as is Burmistrov and Wiercioch. Archibald doesn’t have a contract, and if there are any injured players not able to go right away they can paper a waiver exempt player, put gaunce and whoever else is hurt on ir and sign Archibald to an SPC.

Yup.... you got it. There is this theory that if they want to sign DA to stay they could assign either BB or JV to Comets who are waiver exempt to make room. But don't see that happening either.. it's not like anyone is beating path to offer unknown DA an NHL contract.

Lets face it, every other ...EVERY other blog is either too simple or too cheerleaderish. I mean, just look at the # of posts in all the blogs. Most days, The Canucks blog has more responses that all the rest combined.
"Development camp this summer really showed me how deep the prospect pool is," Boeser, the high-scoring winger from the University of North Dakota, said after Monday’s practice. "It kind of woke me up to how good this team could be in the future."
"I think fans get connected to young players who come in, and they can watch them grow," Linden said. "Watch them become pros. That’s the connection point. You’ve got to be patient; that’s the thing. This is something this market hasn’t seen in many years."
London Knights have 8 rookies playing on the team so far this year. Glad OJ isn't going back there. Though he would probably get 30 minutes a night. - manvanfan
Yes going back to junior wouldn't have helped much. Not really about how many minutes he gets. But more of what kind playing time for the pace to challenge his development. His Hockey senses are off the charts but reaction time not there when yet when the pace is faster or the players stronger.
Though I see him as a teenager not a man amongst boys. Who's not ready to handle the hard game of the NHL that's so challenging especially for a Defenceman. Those that do make it earlier were physically and emotionally mature.
Something that only time will help OJ. Plus a little guidance from savvy Salo could help accelerate some aspects of his transition. Enough of a "Finnsihing" school that next camp, he's a standout where it's talk of how do we not keep him up.
Lordy, Detroits cap situation is so ugly. 5 D with NTC or NMC. 4 F with NTC or NMC.
4 players in LTIR to start the season and only starting the season with 22 players.
Trade Purposal for Detroit.
Nyqvuist and Ouellet, 3rd. 6 million in salary

Draft pool day ... you up to challenge Lefty and all...

Need one more for hockeybuzz pool draft.
Looks like Svechnikov is behind Matthews and Eichel at 16. Bust.
Bode Wilde off to a hot start. - manvanfan
Both Bode and Mattias Samuelsson have committed to U of Michigan next season. Both are potential top pairing defenseman and will be 1st round selections this year.

I wonder if that makes Lockwood stay another year. I honestly have no problem with that as long as he doesn't take the Vesey/Butcher route. Rather have Lockwood come in over ripe with a couple years of ELC not used up.
