Ryan Sproul would be a mega upgrade over Biega.

Goalie market just seems brutal these days. I thought Coreau mightve got claimed from DET the other day but made it through. Subban and Binnington are solid G prospects too made available for free but will probably pass through

He has been in a decline since his 40 points season 4 years ago. I'm not sure there is much left there. Not for 3.6 either.

in no way do I think the Canucks will make a claim on him, I just think he could get claimed.

Sproul should be the only one IMO. Cheaper, younger, bigger then Biega.

I am shocked Biega is getting a longer look than Pedan.

I guess Green has worked with both over the years so he would know better, but man has Biega been mediocre.

According to the Utica fans, Biega has always been superior to Pedan in the minors. Sounds like Green agrees

Biega is the ideal insurance. Cheap contract, good work ethic, and too old to be eating up all the AHL minutes. So he gets his NHL contract to tour around and do morning skates, maybe fill in for a few games

I guess he is fine as a 7th/8th D man, if we are going to go 13 forwards, and 8 D.

Don't pay for it, unable to read it.

I made up my own post about a month ago that showed players from 23-27 were by far the highest among scoring leaders in the nhl.

- manvanfan

Those between 27-32 were by far the drunkest among scoring leaders.

This is the poop the team needs to stop doing if they aren't going to continue to suck for the next 20 years.

I cant stand watching him play, but I would also dislike it if Pedan was sitting 10 games at a time before seeing action. I could care less if Biega is scratched every game this year, he'll be on waivers for another team next season

the problem is, he is fine as a 7th 8th defenseman on the canucks, but he wouldn't be there on 31 other teams.. To me, this year is a wash anyway, so let him be there. My hope is that our insurance D and insurance forwards next year on the roster are not the Biega's or Megna's or Chaput's of the NHL

Maybe I phrased it wrong, but I dont see why having a 29 year old journeyman filling up your pressbox slot while they have everyone younger either on the ice at the NHL or AHL levels is a bad thing?
