So, is juilevii (sp) a bigger or lessor bust then puljorvi (sp)?
One's a forward and ones a defenceman.
Who takes longer to developer? D or F?

He also seems okay with later round 1st. So why not 5OA for a later 1st. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. |

Anyone want to be the last team? Draft tomorrow night at 8pm.

I think his 2nd rounders are better then his late first picks.
Why not 5ov for a mid 2nd and a third. |

TG seems to want to have 1 shut down line. Sutter going to be playing against the other teams top line. Problem with this roster though is who are you going to play with him that won't take away from their offence.
Gagner last season had one of his best seasons ever because he was played max PP time and against the other teams 4th line.
Best responsible defenders would be dorsett and sutter. Someone who isn't as bad on the D-side and could help out on offence is Burmy but as seen in wpg, in that role he is less effective then giving more Ozone opportunities.
So in terms of "match up" line up so far
Dorsett Sutter Granny -----shutdown line
Loui Bo Boeser--- could match up against a 2nd line and win a lot of nights
Daniel Henrik Vanek ----easier competition might see more points for not against
Sven Gagner JV ----- 4th line feast for scoring.
Anyone notice this post is almost like a Nuck4u type post.
Burmy as the 13th forward.
I feel bad that Granny doesn't get more of a scoring role, I think he is a player that creates scoring on his own.
This roster just has too many fill in jack of all trades players and almost not enough role players. Will find out in the coming year or two what type of players Sven and Granny, JV will actually become.
As for ice time. Probably 12 a night for the 4th line and sorted out 15 plus PP and PK time for the other lines.
Don't get me started on the defence. We should just make some trades to sort things out for a while. - manvanfan
TG has used Grablund at Center and in offensive roles. So don't see TG doing above.
TG actually is favoring 4 balanced lines that can score. Not traditional 4th line.
But one that should get the checking assignment bulk, that would play against top heavy teams, could work:
LE BO Sutter.

Granlund is beyond bad in the face-off dot.
Dorsett Sutter Archibald
Megna Sutter Archibald.
Do those look like scoring lines to you?
I'm sure we want to waste Bo's talent playing with Sutter. |

Those look like Utica players not Canuck lines.
Bo's talent transcends Sutter. Wasn't that used for Granlund? Plus Bo creates more on his own and that actually works with how Sutter plays.
They would be dominate on face offs what you want against top heavy lines. Keep the puck away from them. Take the puck to their net.
Agree Granlund's weakest part is faceoffs. Perhaps his wingers can help or more time with Canuck faceoff coach guru. |
