They're 1-2 right now. They'll be 2-3, 2-4 probably when Luck gets back, I'm guessing they'll need 10 games to win the division. That means he'd need to go 8-2 over the remaining 10 games or so to get into the playoffs. That's not happening with that team. Even with Luck.

The only thing I would say to that is that the NFL truly is the "No Fun League". They flag spinning the ball anywhere near an opponent after a catch, or if you toss the ball anywhere near an opponent. And you see defensive players helping QBs off the ground all the time, he's gotta know that he can't do anything but either help him up, or not in that situation with at least the referee staring at him, possibly the umpire too, depending on the time of the game.

They didn't even have the Raiders last place in their division last year, so I don't know what you're looking at.

Yeah, I heard they were going to do that too, but they still called it an awful lot in the past, they also called Keenan Allen for throwing the ball at the opponent after his TD in week 1. He threw it sort of at the ground and the opponent was in the area, so they called a PF on him.

The point was he should know that the NFL and its officials have zero sense of humor. People are calling it the worst penalty in years. That's a huge stretch.
