Miller had the ability to take over a game like not many other could. His stats don't tell his whole story here.

I wish there was a way to show the number of games that he just robbed the opposing team over and over again and won 2-1 or 3-2 where it should have been 5-2 or worse. He might not have been the most consistent at times but his competitive edge was always there and that was why I loved him.

Lehner has the competitive edge and fiery side to him but hasn't really showed the skill to back it up. He just looks like a hot head at times.

Damn, idk about taking over a game, but he did give us a chance to win, don't get me wrong, he wasn't a bad goalie by any means.

I just think rose-colored glasses are applied when looking back. I remember just as many games where he let in an early or late softie that just killed us.

bailey or baptiste

one of them needs the 3rd line slot, the other needs to go to rochester

let larsson, moulson, deslaurers, josefson and griffith fight for the 4th line

looks like skunk gets his shot at center

- homiedclown

Could end up seeing both of them go back down. Which wouldn't be a bad thing.

Well that's fun to pick and chose what stats you want to use.
- JVince11

Not exactly picking and choosing stats, but that season is an anomaly among his career and everyone uses it as the standard for him. It's not. He had a stacked team around him.

Even with that season factored in, his stats are almost identical to Biron's.

he was very good, dare i say elite, at times.. but he was also mediocre and down right terrible at times as well. when i list qualities of an elite goalie one of them has to be he is very good more often than he is not.. and i don't think miller meets that criteria.. Broduer, Roy, Hasek.... they all did it for multiple years not just one

Did I see something about Gionta possibly playing for Rochester just to play in the Olympics too?

That team could be stacked.. haha.

Roy let in 12 goals in his final game with MTL. They all have bad games sometimes man.

Does any one know where you can find a stat of "how many times a goalie has gotten chased??" I bet there would be elites on there too.

Agree. He was a good goalie and has had a good career. He isn't HoF worthy, or retired number worthy, but he should make the Buffalo Sports HoF no problem.

Wow, Mike. (frank)ing NAILED IT.

Thank god you pointed out the upper-middle class background of hockey AND Colin Kaepernick. He isn't free from that criticism, being a privileged male from an affluent family. He speaks out toward an injustice he has largely been able to avoid because of his economic status. Adopted or not.

THAT is my and has been my biggest gripe with Kaepernick. He doesn't represent the people he says he does and he's been more privileged than 99% of people in the country. Charity work is great, speaking out is great, but you have to hand that torch to a member of the suffering community and fund their voice, not use your spotlight as a pedestal to promote your own brand.

Honestly. He should have like 25+ more career shut-outs. The worst part is how he would pout after the games and blame it on his D for him sleeping on a buzzer-beater.

My issue with the whole thing besides what you have said above is the vehicle they are using to protest.

The national anthem. To me it's disrespectful.

After all of this is said and done what will come from them protesting? Not much is my guess.

I honestly can't say. I haven't seen any of the games. The first two were blacked out and I wasn't home for the second two. The weather was far too nice here this weekend to spend time cooped up inside.
