Waaay too many stoppages last night. Game was unwatchable, and I guess it was the same way around the league. You can't really disagree with what the league's trying to do, but I hope they consider what it's doing to the flow of the game and make some adjustments. It was more like football than hockey last night…a play; a stoppage. Another play; another stoppage.

What color bra should I get you?

Any color as long as it's bedazzled.

You mean you're not wearing one now?
Still think Nelson will be 2c. Barzal 3c if not in Bridge.

- Isleshockeyman

Yep at the very least to start. Makes the most sense at this time.

Don't worry, it usually start off like this. Then after a week or so into the season they lighten up on the calling. Then by the end of the season we're all complaining about how the refs swallowed their whistles(amongst other things).

If Barzal is our 2C in November I'll wear a bra for the month. Doubtful at best. I agree about nelson.

I said the same thing. The whistle being blown WAYYY behind the play when the isles were in scoring position cannot happen in the regular season. Even Weight was like are you kidding me.

tale of two games as i able to attend sunday and monday.
Sunday was exciting and was on edge of my seat all game.

Yesterday was brutal. Aside from Halak showing us why he is great goalie - b/c he made all the saves look so easy. Ho Sang was the only other player that had good game. Nelson was going through the motions, in a shocker Beauvillier looked lost(i think he may be odd man out going to bridgeport) and both CC's showed they are 4th line players.

I left after the 2nd period to go watch the 2nd half of the Giants game. After watch that game, i was torn on which was worse?

Its great to see all our big time players looked great sunday. So far Tavares (obvious), Barzal , Eberle , Leddy, JHS, Halak and Ladd for me looked most ready to start the season.

i saw a interview after Avalanche practice last night. Duchene is 100% checked out and wants out of Colorado. Too summarize he said he loves the game of hockey, and in kindest way possible said it wont be with the lanche.

I agree with this post, although I wouldn't count out Beauvillier. He's going to make the club.

It sounds like Sakic overplayed his hand. I have to believe that any offer he gets will be worse than what he was offered this summer.

Uh huh. Sure you did. Was this right after the space ship dropped off? Or right after you had coffee with Big Foot?
- Isleshockeyman

Numbnutz, did you watch the game? Bailey really DID throw a hit. Casey Bailey.

No, jack-ass. I don't get local Islander coverage in AZ.

Well, that explains why you're so ill-informed.
