Shots are 34-26 with 14 seconds to play in the third.

I'd agree, LaPlante is the only Canucks player that really stood out.

I liked Foo and Fischer for Calgary, and Hunter Smith was certainly noticeable.

Onwards!

Yeah, I was impressed by Foo and Fischer as well.

That was ugly. Do we get a higher draft pick for sucking that bad?

To be fair the flames had a lot of guys who played in tbe Ahl last year look good ...if the Canucks had JV, EP, and Dalhen they probably look better

Yes, I'm 2.5 periods into my first prospects game and I'm already grumpy!

Yeah, Foo was sought after by a decent amount of teams, I can see why.

Honestly didn't know anything about Fischer heading into this tournament.

It's nice to see any kids look good but we are all really only concerned with any of tbe kids who have a realistic shot at making the big clubs

True. Doesn't help that Chatfield and Demko we're out.
Also, we lost McEwan halfway through for some reason.

Either way, brutal game, poor entertainment (on this end).

On a positive note, Boeser is a (frank)ing beast. Not sure I saw him lose a single puck battle, let alone get knocked off the puck.

He knocked over Hunter Smith who's the biggest guy on that Flames team as well

But yeah, that game felt just like watching the real Canucks. Flames controlled the play the entire game and dominated.

I thought BB was good as well ...he really could have used a good center

Be interesting if they could ever get full prospects games

I didn't feel good about it...but without rules there would be chaos in this thread

Sadly, I hope they win. As an Eagles fan, one of the few teams i hate more than NYG are the cowgirls

No update from coach Cull on D Aaron Irving or Zack MacEwen, who were both knocked out of the game. "Upper body injury" is all he'd say.

Losing two guys meant a lot of ice for those who did play, another reason it was hard for them to get any rhythm going.

Cull got a twinkle in his eye when he was asked about that 6-on-4 PP that led to the empty-net goal, whether he'd try that in a game situation. Said in those circumstances, he'd probably go for it again!

Without any decent top C's idk if we can expect much.
Guys like BB & Molino stand out & Lind.
Lind will do fine in Kelowna.

That was clear a long time ago, there's still a gap there that's not an easy fix.

Lind will be fine in the K.

Thanks Carol!

Missed the game but reading the thread helped give me an idea of how it went.

But both Foo and Janko graduated Uni and should be the best players on the ice. Both are around 23.

Flames also had a day to practice when Van had to play a game, which I think is huge. Also you guys are missing 2 of your top Center prospects.

Calgary drafted Janko like 4-5 years ago and are finally seeing the fruits of that pick.

Don't hang your heads Van fans, you are just starting the rebuild. In a couple years things will be a lot different
