Sorry dude you are completely out of touch if you think McEneny is an extra. He was utica's best D by the end of the season and that included Pedan and the AHL journeyman.

Stewart was one of the worst players on the Aces last year in the ECHL.

He did come along well last yr. I'm betting he will be in the mix as the extra guy with Van. He's decent size and mobility and he gained a lot of confidence last yr. If he is sent down, he'll be a top 4 guy if not top 2 guy in Utica.

thought he was here and exposed as expansion draft fodder with 1 year remaining on his contract. not sure where he will end up. maybe on the wing with Subban.

I like the guy, he has a great back story. But this was his 3rd rookie camp so he better look decent. I think the Canucks signed him just as a good gesture and knowing that he can fight as well.

He's in tough to crack Utica's top 6 unless injuries hit. I think he starts in the Utica's pressbox or the ECHL.

I just think it's stupid to throw away a late round lottery ticket draft pick to select a guy who's an even bigger long shot than most 6th and 7th rounders. The best counter argument people made was that teams like Anaheim waste late round picks on face punchers too so it's okay for us to do it. And then we wonder how teams like Tampa always "luck" into finding gems in the later rounds.

I'd honestly be open to see him switch to forward if he still sucks defensively to start this year in Utica. Worth a shot with his skill set. He has good puck skills, can skate, good offensive instincts and can rip the puck.

As nice as it was to see stecher make the club like he did, its more so an indication of how poor our depth is. He essentially made the club caude of injuries to tanev and edler, then stayed over biega. In a perfect world, all prospects marinate and develop a couole years in the AHL unless they are special and can truly make the club and significantly impact the game. I dont want brisebois or chstfield to make the team, i want them to develop properly. Let holm and McEny be the first and only call ups

Nah he was solid for Utica. Really improved as far as what i have read. Dont think he woukd have got the call up to the canucks when he did if he was ECHL

McEnemy season last proved he is a legit prospect, although likey still a long shot for a regular. That said he was our best AHL Dman by the end of the season last year.

He actually earned the callup to the Canucks although injuries with both clubs obviously played a part.
