After having two 2nd round picks in 7 years this organization finally realized you can get good players in the 2nd round - classic321
They got Baertschi and Granlund (18 & 19 goals respectively) with those 2nd round picks (Shinkaruk was essentially a 2nd rnd pick in my mind), to be fair, but ya, you can certainly draft some bigger good young players with NHL upside there.
I'm not a Baertschi fan, Grandlund for that matter is a blah player as well, however, they are effective middling players. Neither skates very well and neither are highly offensively skilled or has size, thus my blah status for them both.
Grandlund > Baertschi |

After half that period. Id say Candella and Brassard may never make it. It's one period though.
Liljegren -4 today. - manvanfan
half a period and give up on them? |

Nobody draws penalties like Kadri. He's like Burrows that way. If he were in a trade package for Tanev, I'd be excited. - neem55

Little concerned with Kole Lind's skating to be honest, I didn't see him play today, I'm half a world away, any comments on his skating in the game today? |

He played well, to be honest I didn't focus on his skating abilities because most of the game the Canucks were quite fluid and dominated for large parts of the game.
If you have access watch the next game on YouTube, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the feed. Put the game on the smart tv and never had any streaming issues. |

his skating didn't stand out (good or bad) during the world junior exhibition games during the summer, he seemed to keep up just fine.
Now that Bo is locked up, what are people going to panic about now? LE? |

Loui Eriksson's stick legs....(frank) if he committed to some fitness he might not be so slow (good enough?) |

Really? The kids awesome, his game is cerebral (intellectual) though, he's NOT a flashy player. He's gonna be a great puckmoving defenseman for the team. In the mold of Vlasic for San Jose, no one ever heard of him until he made the Olympic team and people said who's this guy, now everyone says how awesome he is....that's Juolevi. |

Umm...no he didn't, people are really misinformed about this kid because they only look at his numbers. Someone posted an article on his year in junior and how he was used. His minutes/deployment on a lesser team were much much tougher and his offensive numbers were exactly the same as the previous year. |

I don't care about his scoring
His underlying numbers sucked. From entry denials, to successful breakouts, to offensive zone entry's. |

I'm concerned with your posting. Always have been but I will give you the benefit of the doubt. Try doing the same with Juolevi |

All that has to do with is points
Sergachev had a way better year
Among top 4D on London, Juolevi had teams worst scoring chance impact & lowest successful breakout & entry numbers. Medicore on entry-denials too. |

I think I speak for the group, that we'd all chip in $10 if you became a New Jersey Devils fan and stayed on their HB site. - we_are_all_canucks

You obviously didn't read it then because it clearly dealt with his deployment. |
