He was the only reason I was looking forward to this season. Such highs & lows, from the overwhelming relief that Vegas didn't take him to the crushing dissapointment that he is not healthy to start the regular season.

I'm just busting your balls and trying to help Marwood get through the morning.

I liked MacEwan more than Gadjovich but Molino was my player of the game and really he should be as he is 23. I also thought McKenzie was more impressive than those other two.

The coffee is good this morning at my place. The wife is baking. Coffee always tastes better when there is cooking going on.

Awesome!!
For me, the coffee always tastes better with a jazz cigarette and some Grateful Dead playing in the background.

The exact same argument could be made replacing " reliant on stats " with " reliant on eyetest" and replacing Tanner with a similarly idiotic fan boy of the traditional eyetest metric.

There is a place for both in the professional scouting world IMO, which clearly none of us are part of. The difference between the two is that by their very nature Stats are unbiased ( not to say they cannot be twisted or interpreted incorrectly ) and most importantly accessible to every fan.

Absolutely correct, and I would like to edit my previous post with "only reliant on stats", as you state there is a place for both and a need for both.

Going to Big Sugar tonight at Tinhorn Creek Vineyard Amphitheatre. No beer there

They sell wine by the bottle, no good will come of this.

Whew, I was a little concerned it would be, Paul Anke, Carol King, Abba, none of those pairs well with tequila...

I think JB is getting better with the media. I'm just listening to him on Team1040 and they baited him a bunch of times and he talked his way around them. As compared to some of his interviews in the past he was very articulate and likeable. Giving them something without giving up to much. He seems like he is learning and getting better with all aspects of the job.

Not really. More about how the Bo negotiations went. Players coming up and how he can help mentor the young players coming up in the next couple years. The part I liked was Jim skirting around the NTC talk.

He talked about the PTO's this year. Mostly competition for depth at camp.

OJ deserving to be on the team only if he earns it. He doesn't want him to play if he isn't getting the minutes. His best place is where he gets minutes.

I have been listening to the morning crew 650 at the gym during the week. So far they are kicking ass over the completion on entertainment value.

The one thing Jim said that I really liked was that he feels they have 8 or 10 guys that are going to be playing in Utica this season that he believes will be full time NHL players in the future. He added something we already know, that this organization has never had that before.
