Maybe someone (like Tampa) has a great year & pulls away from the pack,

There are still too many problems/Not enough experience for the lines to truly make sense yet. For long term stability, Reinhart moving back to center would be ideal. Assuming Kane can be retained at a reasonable value:

Nylander-Eichel-Baptiste
Kane-ROR-Okposo
Bailey-Reinhart-Pominville
Pouliot-Larsson-Fasching

I mean that would be nice to have him as 3C playing against weaker lines. The biggest obstacle would be the cap. I am lost trying to think what we would do, but it would be a good problem for once having too much talent.

Yeah that was next year. I figure either 22 or 28 will be traded, but yeah, I forgot about those other guys, and I put Pouliot back in which I don't think will actually happen. We'll see but the more I look at it, the more I think this year's forward lineup may have too many pieces that don't fit. We have nice pieces but I'm not sure they fit together yet

While I understand the reservations with bp, a lot of posters on here not saying you, were all over then gm Murray for getting neilson last year as back up. Halfway through the season there were some clamouring for him to be the starter over Lehner.

A lot can happen with a change of scenery maybe works out real well for him. Seems odd to write him off even before camp starts.

Except Nilsson actually showed that he had talent before. Balls is ok, when he plays. It took him 3 full seasons with the Oilers to get to 180 games. He missed 24, 27 and 15 games the past 3 years. And he has only once played in 80 games. He couldn't even manage a full season in the lockout year, he missed 14 games. He was -5(2nd worst, tied with Gryba, behind only RNH, -10 interestingly) on a team that was +35, 0 points in 13 playoff games. He was just plain bad last year, there's no other way to cut it.

Meszaros could have made $8 million that year and it still wouldn't be anywhere near the worst move Murray made. He was signed for one year. One year contracts are great in a cap world.
