Does anyone care about Carol's feelings?

It's tough to do anything other than stat watch with prospects...We have 82 games of trash to watch with the Canucks I did watch quite a few of Juolevi's playoff games though and I though he looked great! excited to see him in the preseason

He's going to be a gamer. Hopefully he heads to Finland to play in the men's league alongside Petru under the supervision of Salo.

He might not be that Norris type, but if he can develop into a Salo type minus the injuries, this fanbase should be estatic. I know this fanbase has an extremely short memory span, but Salo was a shutdown/transitional beast.

Would have loved to see his advanced stats during his prime!

If the canucks want more goals for then they will find a spot for him. With that shot I'm thinking many points on the PP; goals and assists.

Outside the PP, the kid will struggle. But who knows, the chip on his shoulder might just be big enough for him to succeed in the NHL.

I like weather girls. In some countries the choice in weather girl is pure sexism. It's blatant.

But I'm a liberal thinker, so I can look past that.

Agree I would like to see the kid get a shot...I'm sure at least half of our D will be out by mid December so...

That no look, cross ice pass is his bread and butter - its so deceiving and accurate. Imagine him feeding Boeser, Pettersson or even Gaudette, it would be a vicious PP for the future.

Agreed. The kid has the best pure shooting and skating skills in our system (D-wise).
As such, I figure he can contribute alot more to this team over the likes of Biega, Pedan, Holm etc. Perhaps even Guddy if last year is any indication

If he turned out to be similar to Salo then that would be (frank)ing amazing. I consider Salo to be one of, if not the best canuck Dmen of all time.

Our PP literally has not been the same ever since Salo left. He brought more than just the right hand shot to the PP as well.

Exactly, but that would be too exciting for canuck management to handle. Management might just slip out of their coma if that happened.

I totally agree but this team's going to lose a lot of games. Does it matter if the score is 5-3 or 8-3? At least we get to look forward to a canuck PP rather than get up and go for a PP.

lol. Yes the injuries.

If I'm not mistaken the season we went to the Cup final (2010) was one of our least injured seasons in the last 20+ years. I don't think that is a coincidence.

In a rebuilding year what is the problem trying different things? What is there to lose?

If management plays the kids then they have a built in excuse why they failed. Instead they try as hard as they can (according to them) to be a playoff contender and end up bottom five in the league two seasons in a row. WTF?

Subban is not going to be the saviour of that awful PP. This team just plain sucks!!

This is canuck army's list of top dmen. I totally disagree.

1. Matthias Ohlund
2. Kevin Bieksa
3. Ed Jovanovski
4. Jyrki Lumme
5. Alexander Edler
6. Sami Salo

Not a saviour but definitely better than watching what the canucks have been throwing out there. Our PP is so predicable with nothing coming from the point. Nothing!

Penalty killers must get really excited knowing their stat lines are going to improve substantially playing the canucks. And that means money come contract time.

The NHLPA should sponsor the canuck power play.

Agree, shouldn't be on that list. I don't think Edler, Bieksa, or Jovo should be ahead of Salo.

And I don't think Ohlund or Lumme had the same skill level as Salo. But it depends on how you're scoring it I guess.

I agree....some appear to be disapointed because it doesn't appear he will be a true No 1 but he should still be a stud. I wouldn't be shocked if he makes the team this year.
