Chapoo will not make this team Boeser will - VANTEL

I might be optimistic but this team isn't horrible on paper. If they have chemistry things could go well. I like to win. Players are in to win.
Sure we could suck but we could also not suck. - thundachunk
I'm onboard with wins as well |

Im on the same page as you, this season could go either way, like 2015. But id rather miss playoffs and get one of Dahlin/Merkley/Boqvist |

WE definitely aren't making the playoffs, our Division got a lot better this summer |

Not salty at all. Just pointing out your roster was dumb with little thought put to it. You are actually the one with the panties in a twist. |

your roster is exactly the same, with Boeser added..... I would learn to read a post before you try to nitpick , cause the same 9 players are on every persons forward roster. But sure, its dumb. |

I would like Gaunce to succeed also . He has a good defensive game .He is the exact opposite of Goldobin. - VANTEL
Just because a guy gets stuck in his own zone all the time, doesn't mean he has defensive skills. Gaunce is awful. |

False, after a quick check he was the highest on the team with possession for. His offence game sucks but cannot take away from his defence |

Agree winning is the goal but I do understand why GM's manipulate rosters for draft picks however.
Even with the additions of MDZ, Gagner, Vanek, we really have only effectively replaced the points lost with Burrows and Hansen gone. Now I would expect Gagner and Vanek to outscore Burrows and Hansen X2 if they were still here so 'if' Gagner and Vanek have good years we could could bump up a few spots…but realistically we shouldn't get anywhere near a sniff of the wild card with this current roster and potential injuries. |

With all that though. Looking at less injuries to Guds, dorsett and healthier Sutter and Granlund. More points from Sven and Bo. Less points from Henrik and Daniel. Replacing Megna with Boeser is a big time. |

You're goal should, IMHO, be to win the Stanley Cup. That requires some long term thinking. I like winning too, but it's short-sighted to just try and win or be competitive without really having a chance to win a Cup. It creates a mess and mediocrity because you're not bad enough to draft those great players in the 1/2/3 spots or good enough to win it all, which is really the point of it all.
Tampa generally drafts well in down years at the top, Stamkos and Hedman, and they also draft well even when they're competitive....something I'd like to see from the next GM when Benning is fired |

Will he though? Im not sure hes any better then WD. He hasnt proven anything. WD was great in hia first season, terrible after that. Only real difference I see now. All the youth is older. They replaced hansen, sbisa, burrows with Gagner, Vanek and MDZ. A bit more quality depth. Before finishing 2-12, would have probably finished around the 75 point mark. I totally expect them to be somewhere this year also. |

He sure does.
Torts told everyone what they needed to hear. He got fired.
WD used all the same phrases, he got fired. |

If you finish last, yes.
Gotta finish last though
Alternatively, you could pick 2nd and select the best player in the draft like Winnipeg did. |

Can we just drop the damn puck and find something else to talk about geez the canucks will be fine, jb has done a nice job stocking the cupboards, the depth is much better when injuries happen. |
