I highly doubt Vanek moves the needle. He might make the team more entertaining but we will still suck. Traded for a pick and we will still draft top 5

Exactly. Oilers played every kid straight from junior and look how amazing their team was. Just cause they're young and showing potential doesn't mean you have to rush them. Let them get used to playing against men for a couple years and then make the jump. Not everyone is McDavid.

Goldobin is defensively challenged and looked lost more often than not. Boeser looked good in 9 games, but he should have to compete like everyone else. 9 games doesnt mean lock by any means

Of course, there's 60 games before the TDL but I'm thinking it's about entertainment value as well. Vanek will give you a guaranteed 40 points, not sure if the kids will, but I'd like to find out.

What is one more year then? I dont disagree the rebuild should have started sooner. You all cried for patience and development and not rushing, now the kids get a chance to beat out a veteran for a spot ir develop properly and fans still cry. Benning cant win. I dont like the LE signing any more than you do, but we have 5 more years so get over it man. Idiotic signing yes, but youre beating a dead horse
