I think I watched 10 games last year. Normally I watch all 82 but last year was painful to watch for sure - canucks1986
Multiply that by how many other's are doing the same. Big $$$ |

I am not arguing with you , in fact I mostly agree. I have no desire to watch that boring cycle any more. No grit and soft. I am honestly thinking of skipping this year , it depends on the roster.
I will definitely be following the Comets but Linden the twins Edler Eriksson annoy me beyond the point of enjoyment . Like I said I agree with you. - VANTEL
The OHL has a package where you can watch all the games online, even though I watch a bunch of games in person, I may get that. There are so many great prospects worth following.
AHL Live has a $150 package to watch all of your "fav teams" full season as well.

The NHL says the league is changing to younger and faster players. The twins don't meet that criteria. - VanHockeyGuy
Im hoping that Linden shows his bromance with them by letting them be hired as co-directors of community relations , media relations or anything non hockey related. Reward them with a high profile pr position and let the youth process begin . |

That would be best case scenario - offer them high end front office job right outta the gates. Worst case, would obviously be resign them for another year. I'd sure as sh*t rather have two roster spots open in the 18-19 season than this upcoming season. |

I think by the time they're all gone, that will have been 5 years of top 5-10 picks, the rebuild should be over by then, otherwise we're the Oilers. - Brooks_Light
Not saying its the same cause our prospects are a couple years removed from the draft, but rushing prospects is not something i want to see |

For sure. They need to earn their spots on the team. |

I'm just shaking my head at people here, I normally don't defend Don because he and I disagree on what Bo is to this team and what he's worth (I think he's at best a complimentary elite 3C or lower tier 2C on a championship worthy team and Don disagrees). But him and I at least agree on one thing, this fanbase and some 'fans' on this board seem to have some f-ed up expectations for this team. I don't care if the kids play this year, this team is going to go nowhere for at least 2-3 years, so why use them up in the NHL where they'll be over their heads and learning how to lose?
One or two years in a competitive and contending team in Utica is not going to harm the kids and when they come up, they'll have a much better idea of their eventual roles on the team once the last of the old guard is gone. The other side of the coin is, the Oilers and Flames (who essentially will take over the top of the Pacific from SJ and Anaheim) will likely be in cap hell or close to it and won't be as strong as they are now, making it much more likely that we would be able to stack up against them in a playoff race or better yet, possibly beat them in the playoffs which is supposed to be the goal here. |

Benning should be head scout. Linden needs to go, we need a gm that isn't afraid to pull the trigger of a deal, Francesco needs leave hockey to the management |

I don't think they're will be too much rushing - guys like Demko, OJ, Brisebois, Chatfield are still 2-3 years.
Pettersson needs at least a year overseas, then possibly another in Utica.
Dahlen & Gaudette could be ready next year for sheltered minutes.
Goldobin, Virtanen, McEwen = may have another year in the A, with a few possible callups.
Guys like Gadjovich, Lockwood, Lind, Rathbone = 2-3 years away as well.
This is a slow, proper way to develop, while dipsh*ts like Sutter, Gagne, Edler, Sedins, MDZ, Vanek, plug the spots for the next few years. |

CHL and AHL are good in person. Not so much unless worthwhile games like mem cup. |

Mem cup ticket prices are insane - I saw London/Windsor play in the 1st round of the playoffs for 15$, 5 rows up, center ice. Then 2 months later nosebleeds for Windsor/Erie are 95$ at the mem cup - no thanks. |

Benning said this morning we will not ask the twins to waive. (understandable )
Daniel " I can't foresee us playing anywhere else (this morning)
We will announce what the future of the Sedins are in a few weeks (Benning this morning)
Daniel we really enjoy helping the youth here (this morning) |

It's hard to really know when prospects are ready. Why camps, call ups and end of season try outs really tell the story.
I remember you seeing OJ play and saying he's ready for the NHL. But given who's coming to camp we won't know what role if any he earns. Projections and reality don't fit hand and glove. Surprises abound. Some players find a role on the roster in quick order or languish away for oppportunity. It's a fluid mixture.
Maybe one or none of those prospects mentioned above find a way. For example, EP could just as easily come into a role next season or stay in Sweden for 3 more years. |

Best of the best $$$$$$$. I got no idea what im going to do this year. I wish Utica was in the same division as the Moose. Watching AAA hockey instead of the wheat kings doesnt excite me. |
