Good to see training camp has opened for the cry wagon on HB ahead of regular camp. Do we have enough competition? Who's going to outcry someone for a spot? Do we bring in any new criers or will that get in the way of our young criers development? Are we just going to rely on the vet criers once again to get this wagon rolling? Do we just dump the boring old criers?
Just having fun. There is no camp for criers. That roster is set in stone season after season. |

Cause there has been absolutely no evidence to support otherwise. And Trevor Linden is a POS and cant separate work from friends

Agree winning is the goal but I do understand why GM's manipulate rosters for draft picks however.
Even with the additions of MDZ, Gagner, Vanek, we really have only effectively replaced the points lost with Burrows and Hansen gone. Now I would expect Gagner and Vanek to outscore Burrows and Hansen X2 if they were still here so 'if' Gagner and Vanek have good years we could could bump up a few spots…but realistically we shouldn't get anywhere near a sniff of the wild card with this current roster and potential injuries. - LordHumungous
I agree. Vanek won't even be here a whole season I bet... he's a perfect TDL pickup for a team against the cap... hell, he could be packaged with another player like Beartchi to a team looking for cheap secondary scoring going into the playoffs... a pair like that may be able to get a good pick and easily fit in minimal cap space that late in the season.
I'm sticking with the opinion that until the Sedin contract expires, we are only in collect prospects mode. So what if the kids season in the AHL... rushing them hasnt exactly worked out has it? Vanek will be another pick for us. He's not really in the way of anyone's development. The consensus was no forward rookie with game changing potential with the exception of Boeser is near ready and it's undetermined if the NHL or a season in the AHL is his best development path. We'll see in camp I guess. It's like people forget he hast had a single season pro yet. Straight outta college... he could survive quite well in the NHL I'm sure but the question remains... will it be the Canucks best option for him? Considering he has never even had a camp with the Canucks's yet, how can everyone be so sure? I don't see the Vanek move as "blocking" something that has so many unanswered questions before camp.

Part of the issue with hiring guys like TL that have personal relationships with players.
What would TL and JB have to do to be fired? Who do we blame, TL or JB? - Kaynine

I think trevor linden and benning hold the sedins on the highest of pedestals and the sedins truly believe they can keep playing. I dont think they care about being pushed off the first line, i just think they care about being able to play at this level. This to me is a recipe for a 1 year extension |

The first hour of the new radio station was a snooze fest. They have the voice of Dan the man Levitan.
After Benning came on it picked up a bit Satir Shahs show is decent but they put them up againt the Kurtenbloggers who are also fun |

No one is pissed at Vanek being here. The people that are upset are upset at mgmt changing direction again.
They are trying to turn chicken sh1t into chicken salad. They believe they are a playoff team. - VANTEL
I'm trying to figure out all the direction changes people are talking about.... it's all about perception based on the direction you decided the team was going to begin with I guess. I've said all along, the kids will be coming in when the Sedins are gone and the timing seems about right for a our blue chippers next season(Boeser,OJ,Demko possibly) and then secondary young players should be more than ready the following season(Dahlin,Goblin,JV,). Then there is a couple of generations of prospects after them which will trickle in the following seasons(Petersson.Lockwood,Lind,etc). I don't think at all the Sedins get resigned. Next season is day 0 for the new chapter like I said all along. We will get another high pick this next draft.
The Canucks are playing the long game and filling in the gaps with short contracts that you can trade is not a direction change. When we have young depth at all positions and finally hit a jackpot in the draft(lefty says it should only take 3 years of top 3 lottery position to do it, it's been 2 now).... no one will be complaining anymore. Our future forward lines can actually play as units in Utica this season instead of getting scrap ice time on the Canucks which is a rep Green had in Utica with some of the kids. |

Unfortunately I think we will have one more year of the Twins after this season.
