Radio wars!!
Should be fun to watch/listen. - Marwood
That's it. This market isn't big enough to service two canuck stations.
And lets be honest the Lions don't matter.
So you have to create a situation where the audiences are listening to both. Hence radio wars! I think it's a great idea. Our society now craves that sort of thing. Give it to them. |

How is sports radio still even a thing?
Besides listening to the play by play while driving or something, i would have thought that 1 radio station would be struggling, let alone 2.
Who needs radio when you have such captivating and lively insights available right here on HB?!?!? |

I think there is a large portion of canuck nation who crave drama and conflict. Why else would you trash your city when your hockey team loses? Not once, but twice.
It wasn't the store front window or some dudes car's fault. Overly dramatic reaction to something totally unrelated.
Real shock sports radio (not pratt rants) would work in this market.

How much do you think we could get if Bo was traded?
Maybe Malkin?
Even though Malkin isn't the face of his franchise I think Linden might be able to mould him into something similar to Bo. - bloatedmosquito
i wouldn't trade bo or tree for anything less than crosby or mcdavid.

It would work because VAN has casual sports fans and lose interest when there isnt worth freaking out over. People used to suspect that the teams needed to be successful to retain fans, but Lions/Canadians have success and still little fanfare. Their leagues are mild and would require a massive effort to create any hysteria that would captivate VAN's attention
I suspect the recent Blue Jay infatuation will require some #HotTakes in order to keep it worth talking about in this market now the decline has started |

I see you liked my drama response to Bo's poor behaviour.
Bo needs a new agent. (frank) I hate lawyers and their law ways. They are ruining pro sports!
For (frank) sake, it's players like Bo who are RUINING HOCKEY! - bloatedmosquito
Bo knows greed!
Bo knows selfishness
Bo doesn't know hockey |

I'd be happy with a 2 year bridge deal personally, as i want to see what Bo can do this season (and next) with some increased responsibility and more importantly, against tougher competition.
If he excels, becomes our 1C, PP dude and captain, i'll be happy to see him become the highest paid canuck of all time.
If he plateau's, sign him for a more reasonable deal and continue to build around future stars. - dbot

I hope it gets vicious. 1040 will be ramping up the hysteria, panic and hate like never before. Every Canuck hater in the local media are already doing daily to weekly hits on there.
It's going to be great!! |

Doesn't Bo become a flight risk if the team shows zero promise after his two year bridge is up? |

Well the short answer to that would be:
if he doesn't want to sign long term then trade him... |

It's barely a thing. Most of the younger generation is listening to their favorite music, satellite radio, or podcasts on their phones. Team 1040 isn't even a top 10 station in Vancouver according to the ratings.
