If Van can't sign EG, I think they will trade him and he's worth at least a 2nd - Kaynine
I could see some type of package happening involving a defenseman and Vanek to a contender, for a pick and a decent prospect. Not going to get my hopes up though, and I like hysteria when players don't get moved. |

It would be nice to see Edler moved to a contender for a first. One can hope |

Technically neither have those 3. - Kaynine
Disagree...
Boeser yes, although he had 4 goals in his 9 games, but Virtanen played excellent the second half two years ago in the NHL and Goldobin has good numbers two years in the AHL.
All three deserve a long look imo. |

Trev said Sedins were still top line yesterday and it is up the mgmt to find them better players to surround them
Meanwhile I haven't heard the GM say anything in weeks including the White
PTO or the Vanek signing which again is unusual - VANTEL
I think what he was saying was that the Sedins are the only players that have/had top line production on the team. Meaning he doesnt see anyone currently on the roster as being top line players yet. Sedins did better against other top lines then Sven and Bo did. |

Do you think their careers will be harmed by playing half a season in Utica? |

They should all be playing but management keeps on making signings. Is our team better? I think so but I would rather see these guys get more NHL ice. |

Goldobin needs to show something in the NHL this year, whether it's in 25 games or 82. 3rd year pros at his age usually show that they have what it takes to play decently in the NHL by that point, if they're legit. |

I don't think he should get top line money. But good 2LC's get upwards of 6M these days. |

I would say he gets less than that in a bridge deal. He still has a lot to learn. He was our leading scorer. 20 goals and 50 points is not 6 million dollar money.
I would give him 9 million over 2 years. Thats it. |

Hey Whitellie have you noticed the 9/1/17 alt that only shows up to throw bombs....
Are you waiting for an explosion...? - Nuck4U
I know Makita has stopped by to address this, but I prefer to not be called out so I will summarize things for you and whomever else is concerned about the new posters:
First: these are not alts. The two new posters have no shared posters on their IP addresses for their combined 30ish posts. Keep in mind, that while you may not like their style of posting, they are free to express themselves within the Code of Conduct. It was only a short year ago posters were claiming that the Nuck4U account was an alt, based on its early posting style.
Second: You are all participants on this website, and Makita and I are volunteers. We have lives beyond babysitting people here. If you cannot control emotions, ignore inflammatory posts, and be civil when someone is obviously provoking or antagonizing you, then perhaps an open internet forum is not the place for you.
Again, this is a post for all, the Code of Conduct says to respect your fellow posters, which means less posts about the posters. This group has enough long term members where it has been allowed, but we cautiously try to ensure that negative posts are removed before things escalate. I am here as often as I can be, where I will try to delete posts that directly call out an individual before it has been seen/responded to, but again I cannot be here at all hours to protect feelings, nor can Makita.
I hope that addresses your concerns. If you're concerned about an explosion, remember if you have a match but no fuse, it won't detonate. Try not being the fuse by engaging.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend |

Interesting.
What if he's willing to do a Wemnberg contract? 5M per over 6 years.
You'd rather do 4.5M for 2 years and then have to re-negotiate a long term deal again when he may want even more money? |

I agree BB should get a good look, he's offensive, built from the same character as Bo. JV, I agree the second half of his rookie year he showed some improvement. What happen to him last year? He is not ready. If he can go to the AHL and really learn the game as high speeds he will eventually make the team, but not this year. Goldobin, needs to play top 6, his strength is offense....but where does he fit? |
