If OJ is going to be learning (and not playing lots) he should learn from Salo in finland. Stecher is way better then Cody Franson, and probably tougher too. Plus aside from maybe now Del Zotto Stecher is the most offensive Dman Canucks have. With the amount he shoots, and guys who can pickup rebounds like Vanek/Gagner/Boeser, i expect big things from Stecher

No issues there. If London lets him go to Finland that's fine. Though it's nice if rookie D get sheltered minutes when breaking into NHL. You know there will be injuries and tons of minutes up for grabs. If he earns that now or next season is up to what he shows.

As for Stecher he's a gamer for sure. Makita and others kept going on about his defensive holes. So maybe sheltered minutes to start the season would help and not give him the sophomore jinx.

I don't think Green is an idiot at all. I was impressed with the structure he had Utica pay with. His system kept them in a playoff race despite having one of the least talented rosters in the AHL last year. I do think he's veterans coach for sure and fans will be annoyed at times with how he handles the youth and spoonfeeds the vets, but I doubt his lines/ice time management will be as bad as WD's.

Benning has made some bad mistakes in the past, but I don't have any real issues with anything he's done since signing Eriksson to that horrible contract so hopefully he's learning from his mistakes.

You are way to high on the TG train. While you know I was never a WD fan he did have some good qualities. I do think however think you're jumping the gun on TG being what this team needs. Maybe he is but I haven't seen him coach a game. I will however agree that LE will be better.

I don't know. I am not on board the TG train yet. I do like his structure and offensive upside but he needs to get it done at an NHL level.

The issue is that even when Green doesn't produce there will be the so many excuses and praises because the armchair coaches will not admit that they know (frank) all about coaching, strategies, systems...etc, but will continue to pump their chest like they are experts.
