You would think that having had Scotty coach them to cups it would have influenced Ken Holland and he would have moved Datsyuk and Zetterburg earlier for assets. I think there are a lot of GM that strike it rich on draft day and then the organizations forget to recycle . The Canucks are not the only ones guilty of this but cup rings deserve a bit more loyalty than game 7 losses. - Tigersmyle
Very true. There are many teams that hang on too long not only Canucks.
I think bringing in a prospect every year and dumping a vet is a good way of keeping things fresh. Canucks did not do this for years and that is now why we have the bottleneck. |

His lack of defensive game and ghosting in the playoffs says he will be worth SFA, in my opinion.
Either way this will be a garbage team for at least one more season. Two if the Sedins get extended. |

“Brock is awesome,” Vanek said. “I skated with him quite a bit this summer and told him (Friday) morning, ‘You know I might be joining you,’ and he seemed fairly excited. … He’s a great kid. What I like about him is even in summer hockey or shinny hockey, if you tell him a little tip here or there, he is the type of kid who will listen and doesn’t just shake his head and say, ‘I know it better anyways.’

The youngest driver to ever start from the front row, but he qualified 4th, Verstappen and Ricciardo both got penalties to drop them on the grid. |

That's his points per 82 game pace during the playoffs
I'm not saying he is a stud or will net a great haul...but even a 4th is a win. Insulate the kids |

Lots of qualified GMs on this board, the canucks will be fine. |

I'll give Benning/Aquilini this, there's 41 home games and they've gotta entertain their fanbase for at least 35 of those between October 4th to the end of January/mid February.
The guys he brough in should help their offence and be more entertaining. That said, who's to say one of those kids can't score 20 goals. |

So you want the kids to be gifted spots? The team can't win with this fanbase. Rush the kids and they are ruining there prospects. Let the kids develop in a winning atmosphere in Utica and they are blocking the kids and chasing the playoffs. Either way linden and Benning are dumb |

Stating what exactly. We wont know what to make of these signings until tdl. If the tdl comes and gors and all 3 are still canucks, then we can question it, right now there is no point. This signing doesnt hurt or hinder the canucks in any way |

I had fun watching Goldobin and Boeser score. I can't get too excited about Vanek knowing he will be gone in February.
Goldobin has put in his time and he has the points to back him up.
Either win well or lose well but pick a side because aiming for the middle does not impress me one bit |

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many waiver wire pickups a team can make? |
