Well deserved. In his prime, when healthy, he was as dominant as anyone in NHL history.

I always think about how many concussions Brett and E gave each other growing up? My guess is it had to be double digits for each of them.

Lindros is also the Flyers all-time points-per-game leader as well as the most physically dominant force.

GoT...Wow....what a season finale..somethings I wanted were not in there and some unexpected things were.. Not a fan at all of waiting 2 years to see how it ends though..

Mike Richards..not much else needs to be said..had a great career here, seemed destined to lead us for a long time then something happened and everything went the other way with him.. The way it ended up doesnt take away from he did. I'll take Simmonds over him but that is just preference.

Richards had a lot of great moments here. I think a lot of pressure was placed on him to be a future captain early and maybe became a captain too soon but overall, he was great here. Maybe he lost some focus.

Maybe.

I do think his dislike for off-ice training is what hurt him more than anything; even moreso than off-ice issues.

Certainly appreciate Richards for what he did while he was a Flyer. The cup run has most of my best flyers memories as an adult. I'm also thankful that he was traded. Its scary to think about where this team could be if we didn't have Simmonds and just gotten several good years out of Schenn before flipping him.

Well, that Lindros Retirement announcement just made it a whole lot more expensive.(prices doubled on Stub Hub)

But I can now confirm my first trip to Philadelphia is taking place. Tickets have been purchased.

Just looked at the weather and only 4 times over the next 14 days is the temp predicted to get to between 80 and 85 degrees..

So perfect.

Mike Richards fighting Arron Asham with Islanders a couple of times is how I remember him most.

The shift goes without saying

All his five on three shorthanded goals, most noticeably his first in Toronto, which I saw live.

In honor of Mike Richards's shorthanded prowess, here are some wild and crazy stats!

The Flyers the past 3 seasons have totaled 9 SHGs, which is 2nd worst.

In 3 years between 06/07-08/09, Richie scored 16 SHGs himself, including 7 in a single season. The team scored a league leading 43 SHGs in that 3 year period. 43 > 9.

I believe they had 16 in 1 year (08/09 I think). 7 by Richards, 4 by Carter, 4 by Gagne, and 1 by...Hartnell?
