This goal was hands down the best Leafs goal of the year. Hell, I'd probably give it my vote for best goal by any team.
It might not have the 'ol razzle-dazzle as other goals but the sheer amount of skill it took to make the play and then the fantastic shot to finish it off. Perfection.

I drove past Tom Thomson park Wednesday. Five days in the north west section of Algonquin. Did a loop and stayed on North Tea East Arm, Three Mile, Manitou, North Tea West Arm. First time in that part of the park. Gorgeous but Tom Thomson did not go paddling past. I'd definitely go back there.

Of these, Kadri's was the best to me, but my fav goal was Connor Brown vs the Sens, set play when Matthews intentionally lost the faceoff and got it to Brown. - 13sundin13
poop, I forgot About the intentional lost faceoff goal as well.
So many beauties......can't wait for this year to start!!!

The Bozak backhander reminded me of Matthews had a similar sick goal against the Wings where he went skate to stick and backhanded top corner in one motion, it could have been on this list also.
And it's already been mentioned but the Matthews goal in Game 6 vs. the Caps was one of the skilliest you'll see.

Member when you'd watch a plays of the week highlight package and the only leaf you would see is the goalie getting scored on.

The Wilson/Carlyle/The Other Guy era Leafs were great for highlights showing a team (the opposition) demonstrating mesmerizing offensive zone puck movement, possession and domination.
And Toskalololol and Mandela Bernier were always good for the ol' goalie blooper reel.

Or remember all those highlight reel shorthanded two on one's and breakaways against that the Wilson Leafs used to generate. That used to be convenient because when the Leafs had a penalty called against them, you knew you could go get a beer or change your laundry over or whatever because the score would now be 5-1 or whatever for the other team when you got back. That was before I quit smoking smokes, it was very convenient, you didn't have to wait for intermission.
