Sad state of affairs.. - bixll
I know the easy narrative is to blame all of this in Donald Trump.
But let's be honest here: this hatred isn't 6 months old.
Blaming Trump is too easy.
I think the US of A really needs to take a good, long look in the mirror. |

I think I speak on behalf of all Hockeybuzzers when I say that I don't really know how I feel about the events that transpired in Charlottesville this weekend, and that we could all benefit from hearing James Tanner's thoughts. - Atomic Wedgie
I know exactly how I feel, there is a point, where freedom of speech and freedom of actions cross the lines of human decency. Stating, propragating and promoting racism, hate and ignorant views are all totally unacceptable for me. I know exactly where I stand on it, so I don't need anyone else's opinion about it. Ignorance especially is something that should be addressed - it is hard, but hopefully there are enough decent people in the world to know that Slavery, Jim Crow, Apartheid and Nazi Fascism are all unacceptable. |

I think President Trump makes people more comfortable being open about their racist beliefs.
But I don't really think he's done much to make people think that way - the vast majority of these people were already bigoted. |

It's hard to believe such an ignorant president resides in the White House.

Throughout the campaign - and even after he took office - I always hoped that he had this giant Machiavellian scheme whereby he would say stupid things to secure the support of a certain segment of the population, but that ultimately what he said would have no bearing on what he actually did.
Yeah, that hope has died.
Best case scenario now is 4 years of complete government inaction.
Which isn't that hard to imagine now. |

This looks like it weighs the team in front of them too...like why would Schneider be #20? Also Elliot at 16 seems ludicrous... Not saying Andersen should be moved up significantly, but that list looks a little suspect.

His presidency is a product of the time. Trump didn't vote himself in, the people did, and it's no coincidence that a reality tv star is now president. That's the medium people worship these days; fast, forgettable drama. Quick hits, then on to the next sh#t storm.

It's a fantasy rankings list.
Hence why you get Schneider so low, he's a very good goaltender but won't get as many wins.

Yes it's a fantasy ranking so the team counts more than the quality of the goalie. For this reason Schneider is ranked 20th which shows he is a good goalie on a bottom 5 team. I don't agree with Price being at the top of the list. He's a great goalie, but I am not convinced that Montreal has enough offense to win enough to justify that ranking. I think Bishop could also be moved up the list based on the improvements that Dallas did to their team this off-season.

Holy poop guys, who cares about Trump. People come on here to read about Hockey.
Would be awesome to see the Leafs reach 50 wins this year. That's my prediction anyways! |

Unfortunately, Trump is causing very hard to repair damage to the US - so I don't agree that there is "inaction" The fact that his own party voted against him on striking down the Obama healthcare reforms speaks volumes. What many fail to see is that this president - sees his office as a significant business opportunity. His role models are Putin - who made himself one of the richest men in the world by robbing Russia blind and former Vice President Cheney who famously awarded his own company Halliburton a $40 billion dollar contract to rebuild Iraq - after the US flattened it. No other company was permitted to bid on the deal. The best case senario - and I still hold hope - is that both Trump and Pence are impeached.

I would agree, a few shoot out wins and 105 points would be a great result.

You really think so?
With all the games lost in the shoot out, games lost to giving up big 3rd period leads and all the games lost at the beginning of the season when Andersen wasn't quite ready after injury......I don't think a extra 10 wins is impossible. Not at all. |
